Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' Is In Development
Chennai, January 21 - Director Nelson Dilipkumar's action drama Jailer was one of the biggest Indian blockbusters in 2023. The movie grossed over 600 crores worldwide and was the second biggest Tamil grosser of 2023 with a minor difference from Thalapathy Vijay's "Leo".



"Jailer" was a much-needed success for superstar Rajinikanth, who made a roaring comeback after a few commercial failures. The mega success of the film led to speculations about its sequel and many reports have indicated the same.



Now, according to the latest reports, the sequel to Jailer is indeed happening and director Nelson Dilipkumar has already started work on the script of Jailer 2. The buzz is that "Jailer 2" will be Nelson's next directorial and it is likely to go on floors next year.



Rajinikanth, meanwhile, is occupied with a couple of big projects. The superstar is currently shooting for "Vettaiyan", directed by T.J. Gnanavel. It also stars legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil among others in prominent roles. Rajinikanth will next be teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj and the shoot for the same will commence in April/May this year.
