Suriya To Enact Duel Roles In His Next With Director Siva?
Chennai, November 9 - Tamil superstar Suriya will be teaming up with "Annaatthe" director Siva for the first time. Though the film has not been announced officially yet, Siva recently confirmed in an interview that he will be directing Suriya in his next, which will go on floors next year.
The latest report around this much-awaited collaboration suggests that Suriya will be enacting a duel role in the film that is said to be a commercial family drama that will also play to Suriya’s big image in that category. Playing duel roles is not new for Suriya as he has previously essayed double roles in the films like Massu Engira Masilamani (2015), and Maattrraan (2012).
While Suriya's film with Siva will take some time to start rolling, the actor will complete his ongoing projects first. He is currently working on the final shoot schedules of "Etharkkum Thunindhavan". He will then head to director Vetrimaaran's highly-awaited film "Vaadivaasal".
Suriya also has a film with director Bala. The untitled film will be their fourth venture together and it will be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. The actor-director duo first joined hands for Nandha, which was released in 2001. Later, they reunited for "Pithamagan" (2003). Their last film together was "Avan Ivan" (2011), in which the "Soorarai Pottru" actor played a cameo role.
Meanwhile, Suriya is winning accolades for his recently released "Jai Bhim", which is a legal drama film directed by T. J. Gnanavel. Based on a true incident in 1993, which involves a case fought by Justice K. Chandru, Suriya played Justice Chandru in the film that was released on Amazon Prime Video.
