Telugu Actor Jaya Prakash Reddy Passes Away Due To Cardiac Arrest

The popular Telugu actor and comic villain, Jaya Prakash Reddy has passed away due to a heart attack on Tuesday (September 8) at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He was 73.



The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and current leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Nara Chandrababu Naidu took to Twitter and paid homage to the versatile actor.



"Telugu cinema and theatre has lost a gem today with the demise of Jayaprakash Reddy Garu. His versatile performances over several decades have given us many a memorable cinematic moments. My heart goes out to his family and friends in this hour of grief. #JayaPrakashReddy", he wrote.



Jaya Prakash Reddy was known for his villainous and comedy roles. His most popular films include Samarasimha Reddy, Preminchukundam Raa, Khaidi No. 150, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Gabbar Singh, Ready, Kick, Jayam Manadera, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Sarrainodu, Pataas, Evadi Gola Vadidi, and Kithakithalu to name a few.



The late actor made his Telugu debut with Brahma Puthrudu in 1988 and was last seen in Mahesh Babu-starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru, which released in January this year. He worked in over 100 movies in Telugu and Kannada languages.
