Udhayanidhi Stalin To Star In Tamil Remake Of Article 15
The Tamil remake of Article 15 marks the second directorial of lyricist-singer-actor Arunraja Kamaraj. He made his directorial debut in 2018 with sports drama Kanaa.
Udhayanidhi Stalin who previously worked in movies like Psycho, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, and others will be stepping into the shoes and reprise the lead role played by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original. Ayushmann had won a lot of appreciation for playing the upright police officer, battling caste politics, while solving the case of rape and murder of Dalit girls.
The Tamil version will be presented by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP in association with the original producer Zee Studios. Romeo Pictures will be producing the film

The original Article 15 is directed by Anubhav Sinha which starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Sushil Pandey, Veen Harsh, and Sumbul Touqeer in the key roles. The film is inspired by true events and deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. It was released on 28 June last year.
