Hyderabad, November 8 - Vijay Deverakonda's recently released sports action drama film Liger was bombed at the box office and turned out to be the biggest disaster of his career. However, despite the moral killing failure, distributors' confidence in the actor hasn't dropped as his next film Kushi is in red hot demand.



Directed by Shiva Nirvana, "Kushi" is a romantic comedy film that also stars lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead role. The first-time combo of VD and Samantha is doing wonders for the makers as the non-theatrical and overseas rights of the film have fetched fancy deals for them.



According to the latest Telugu media reports, the digital, satellite, music, and overseas rights of "Kushi" have been sold for approx. 90 crores. Phars Films, which has been a regular collaborator of South Indian films, has grabbed overseas theatrical rights at a handsome price.



"Kushi" is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and it also stars Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Murali Sharma, and others in key roles. It was announced to release on December 23 this year but has been postponed due to the delay in the shoot. The movie is now eyeing February/March 2023 release in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
