Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kingdom' Announces A New Release Date; Film To Skip Hindi Release
Hyderabad, July 8 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited action thriller Kingdom, directed by "Jersey" fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, has been confirmed to hit the big screens on July 31st, after getting postponed on multiple occasions.

The release date announcement of "Kingdom" has ended the wait for the fans, but the announcement comes with a twist. The movie was originally announced to be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi (as "Saamraajya"), but in the latest release date announcement, there is no mention of the Hindi version.

While the clear reason for not releasing the movie in Hindi is not known yet, the reports say that it will be released directly on a streaming platform. Netflix is the streaming partner of the movie, and there was a different deal in place originally.

However, the multiple delays led to a situation where Netflix asked the makers to release the movie in theatres as soon as possible. It is worth noting that to release a movie in a multiplex in Hindi, the film requires, at least, an 8-week theatrical window, and this seems not to be the case with Kingdom.

To avoid these challenges, the makers have reportedly skipped theatrical release in Hindi. The film, produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, will release only in Telugu along with the dubbed version of Tamil on July 31st. Bhagyashri Borse features as the female lead alongside Satyadev in the movie, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
