Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Vaccine War' Pushed To Clash With Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar'?

Mumbai, July 6 - National award-winning filmmaker, Vivek Agnihotri's "The Vaccine War" has been moved from Independence Day 2023 weekend and the makers are yet to announce a new release date. It is based on India's journey to develop the COVID-19 vaccine amid the pandemic and the impact it had globally.

After the postponement announcement, it was reported that the movie might release during Dussehra this year, however, the makers didn't confirm the same. Now, according to renowned and veteran Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh, "The Vaccine War" is eyeing to release on September 28 this year.

Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said that the makers are looking to release "The Vaccine War" against Prabhas-fronted highly-awaited Pan India action drama film "Salaar". The Prashanth Neel's directorial is one of the keenly-awaited films, especially in Hindi.

Interestingly, this won't be the first time wherein Agnihotri's film clashes with a Prabhas-starrer. Last year, the filmmaker's all-time blockbuster "The Kerala Story" clashed with Prabhas' "Radhe Shyam" and emerged as a big winner in Hindi by a huge margin.

"The Vaccine War" is produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and I Am Buddha. It stars Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Sapthami Gowda, Raima Sen, and Pallavi Joshi, among others in key roles. It will be released in 10 languages, including, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, English, Gujarati, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi.
