War Good On Day 10; The Sky Is Pink Low On Day 1

War is continuing to hold well at the box office. After becoming the 3rd highest first-week collection movie of all time for Hindi, it has a good start of the second week as it earned roughly 6.65 Cr India net for all languages on the second Friday.

War has a nearly 30% drop as compared to Thursday. However, War's occupancy on Friday was better than yesterday but due to shifting of the shows towards The Sky Is Pink that has released today, it has witnessed the drop.



War has had a slow start of the day whereas, the occupancy in the morning shows was around 5% in most of the cities. However, it kept increasing as the day progressed and it was highest in the night shows with around 30%. The overall occupancy for the day was between 15%-18%.

Morning Shows: 5%-7%



Afternoon Shows: 10%-12%



Evening Shows: 15%-17%



Night Shows: 27%-30%

FYI, the Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor starrar War had performed exceptionally well in its first week. It collected 238.35 Cr India net including 228.50 Cr from Hindi only. War's worldwide collection is 343 Cr. after the first 9 days and it heading towards becoming the highest grosser Indian movie of the year 2019. Currently Saaho is the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2019 with 439 Cr worldwide.



On the other hand, The Sky Is Pink, that has released on around 2500 shows, witnessed a low start at the box office and earned roughly 3.50 Cr India net. Even though the occupancy picked towards the night shows, overall it was between 15%-20% for the day.



However, The Sky Is Pink received a decent response from Bengaluru and Hyderabad in which the occupancy was around 25% while most of the other cities remained under 20% occupancy.

Despite getting good reviews from the moviegoers, Priyanka Chopra, and Farhan Akhtar starrar 'The Sky Is Pink' overshadowed by War that is going strong at the moment. Saturday and Sunday will hold the key for The Sky Is Pink for decent numbers in the opening weekend which is not looking easy the way War is going.
