Zack Snyder Begins Filming Of 'Rebel Moon', Shares First Look
Los Angeles, April 20 - Zack Snyder has begun the filming of his next directorial, "Rebel Moon", which he has co-written with Kurt Johnstad. The sci-fi adventure movie is being made for Netflix, which also premiered Snyder's "Army of the Dead" and "Army of Thieves".
On Wednesday, the filmmaker took to Twitter and shared three behind-the-scenes pics from the first day of shooting. In the photos, we get a glimpse of what appears to be the set for a starship's landing area, both inside and out, as well as a black and white portrait of Djimon Hounsou in full costume.

The movie was announced in the summer of 2021 after the release of "Army of the Dead". In the upcoming movie, when a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius, the desperate people dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand.
Zack Snyder has also written the screenplay with Army of the Dead writers, Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. Sofia Boutella will lead the cast. She will star alongside Hounsou, together with Ray Fisher, Ingvar Sigurdsson, Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, Rupert Friend, Stuart Martin, and more.
