Zack Snyder's Space Epic 'Rebel Moon' Gets A Release Date

"Rebel Moon" is about a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius. The desperate civilians dispatch Kora, a young woman who has a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them challenge the regent.

Snyder originally developed "Rebel Moon" as a potential Star Wars feature more than a decade ago for his love for sci-fi and adventure movies.

The maverick filmmaker joined hands with Netflix for multiple films. He previously directed "Army of the Dead" for the streamer before producing its prequel "Army of Thieves". He is building out a universe based on that concept in addition to the world of "Rebel Moon".
