Dhurandhar 2 8th Weekend Box Office: Sunday Collections Spike Over 100% From Friday; Total India Net Touches Rs. 1,143 Crore

Dhurandhar The Revenge has truly entered the history books, not just for its massive lifetime collection but for the sheer stamina it is showing in its eighth week. The movie is still pulling in audiences across India even after crossing the 1,143 crore mark. This past weekend proved that there is still plenty of gas left in the tank, as the film witnessed a significant jump in both footfalls and show counts.

To understand the eighth weekend momentum, we should first look at the ticket sales activity. On BookMyShow alone, the film managed to sell 12.88K tickets on Friday, which grew to 19.48K on Saturday, and stayed strong with 15.98K on Sunday. This brings the three-day BookMyShow total to a solid 48.34K tickets. When we shift our focus to the major national chains, the growth is even more visible. The film started the weekend with about 2,460 tickets on Friday, but Saturday saw a massive spike as the numbers jumped to 7,190. By Sunday, the national chains recorded their best performance of the weekend with approximately 10,620 tickets. This cumulative total of over 20,270 tickets from the main chains alone shows that the urban audience is still very much interested in catching the film on the big screen.

Dhurandhar 2 - 8th Weekend India Net Collection

DAY NUMBERINDIA NET COLLECTION
Day 51 (8th Friday)₹ 0.42 Cr
Day 52 (8th Saturday)₹ 0.90 Cr
Day 53 (8th Sunday)₹ 1.10 Cr
Total 8th Weekend₹ 2.42 Cr

The collection numbers reflect this steady climb. Friday began with a modest 0.42 crore, but the real story began on Saturday when the earnings more than doubled to 0.90 crore. Sunday took things a step further, crossing the 1 crore mark to finish the day at 1.10 crore. This brings the eighth-weekend total to 2.42 crore. For a film on its 53rd day, seeing a jump of over 100 percent from Friday to Saturday is quite remarkable. It suggests that word-of-mouth remains active, and family audiences are likely choosing this for their weekend outings over newer releases.

The show management also gives us some interesting insights. Over the three days, the average show count was approximately 696 shows. However, looking at the daily breakdown, the exhibitors clearly reacted to the demand. On Friday, there were 645 shows available, but by Sunday, that number was pushed up to 733 shows. Similarly, the occupancy levels saw a dramatic spike. The average occupancy for the weekend stood at 26 percent, but the daily trend is what stands out. It moved from 16.4 percent on Friday to a peak of 32.7 percent on Sunday. This level of occupancy so late in the run indicates that the theaters that are still playing the movie are running nearly full during prime shows.

Looking at the language-wise breakdown for Sunday, the Hindi version continues to be the primary engine, contributing 1.06 crore from 692 shows with an impressive 33 percent occupancy. However, it is important to note the contributions from the other languages which helped push the day’s total higher. The Tamil version added 0.02 crore to the tally, maintaining a strong 31 percent occupancy across 19 shows. Both the Telugu and Kannada versions contributed 0.01 crore each, with the Telugu version showing 32 percent occupancy from 16 shows, while the Kannada version managed 10 percent occupancy from 6 shows. This widespread interest across various regions has been key in helping the film maintain its status as a true pan-India blockbuster as it nears the end of its historic theatrical run.

Here is the breakdown of the total collections as the film stands after its 53-day theatrical run:

  • Hindi Net: ₹1,074.71 Cr
  • Telugu Net: ₹43.00 Cr
  • Tamil Net: ₹19.76 Cr
  • Kannada Net: ₹3.85 Cr
