Love Oh Love Opening Weekend Box Office Collection: Records 1,300+ Shows as it Earns Rs. 0.67 Crore India Gross

BY SACNILK

The romantic drama Love Oh Love has wrapped up its first three days in theaters, marking the completion of its opening weekend. Released with a focused footprint in the Southern markets of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, the film established its presence across 1,331 shows during its first three days. This localized release strategy has allowed the movie to tap into the regional audience as it begins its theatrical journey. Looking at the India net collections, the film started its journey on Friday with ₹0.15 Crore. There was a visible jump on Saturday, which is usually a positive sign for any film, as it collected ₹0.26 Crore—a growth of over 70 percent from its opening day. However, this momentum did not translate into a bigger Sunday. On its third day, the collections dropped back to ₹0.17 Crore, bringing the total opening weekend net collection to ₹0.58 Crore. Currently, the worldwide gross stands at ₹0.67 Crore, with almost all of it coming from the domestic market as the overseas contribution remains negligible. Over the three days, the Tamil version collected a net of ₹0.35 Crore from 818 shows with an overall occupancy of 19.2 percent. The Telugu version followed with a net collection of ₹0.23 Crore across 513 shows, maintaining a 16.8 percent occupancy. This suggests that the film found slightly more resonance in Tamil Nadu hubs, particularly during evening and night shows in urban centers. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In terms of digital ticket sales, the platform BookMyShow recorded a steady flow of bookings. The film saw an opening day response of approximately 11,000 to 13,000 tickets. As the weekend progressed, Saturday and Sunday saw small sequential increments, adding roughly 12,000 to 15,000 tickets daily. This brought the cumulative weekend sales on the platform to a respectable range. Day 1 (Friday): 11,000 - 13,000 tickets Day 2 (Saturday): 12,000 - 15,000 tickets Day 3 (Sunday): 12,000 - 15,000 tickets Total Weekend Estimated: 35,000 - 42,000 tickets The performance in national multiplex chains—PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis—remained nearly flat throughout the weekend. PVR led the chains on Sunday with 793 tickets sold and a 15.03 percent occupancy. INOX and Cinepolis followed with 282 and 255 tickets respectively. Love Oh Love Day 1: Bilingual Romance Starts With Rs 0.17 Cr Gross; Chennai Records Peak Interest

BY SACNILK

The bilingual romantic drama, Love Oh Love, has completed its first day at the box office with a modest opening. Released in both Tamil and Telugu, the film managed to collect a net of ₹ 0.15 crore in India on its opening Friday. With a total of 530 shows across the country, the India gross collection stood at ₹ 0.17 crore. As there were no significant collections reported from overseas markets, the worldwide gross total remains at ₹ 0.17 crore for the first day. If we look at the language-wise performance, the Tamil version led the collections, contributing ₹ 0.10 crore to the net total. It saw a 15.0 per cent occupancy across 319 shows. The Telugu version added the remaining ₹ 0.05 crore, recording a 14.0 per cent occupancy from 211 shows. While these numbers are on the lower side, the film is primarily targeting a niche audience that enjoys slow-paced romantic narratives. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In terms of ticket volume, early estimates from BookMyShow suggest that Love Oh Love sold between 11,000 and 13,000 tickets nationally on its opening day. This includes both pre-sales and walk-in bookings. The interest levels remained somewhat low throughout the day, which was reflected in the overall occupancy for the Tamil 2D version, which averaged 7.70 per cent. Analyzing the occupancy trends by time of day, the film saw its highest traction during the night shows, which peaked at 9.46 per cent. It had a decent morning start at 7.38 per cent, but experienced a dip during the afternoon and evening hours, falling as low as 2.77 per cent in the evening. This pattern suggests that the film is currently attracting late-night moviegoers rather than daytime family or student crowds. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The performance in the national chains, including PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, was limited to 80 shows across 58 venues. In these chains, the film sold a total of approximately 1.2k tickets, resulting in a gross collection of around ₹ 1.7 lakh at an occupancy of 9.4 per cent. PVR was the primary contributor among the chains, selling nearly 0.8k tickets and grossing about ₹ 1.1 lakh from 37 shows. INOX followed with approximately 0.2k tickets and a gross of around ₹ 0.3 lakh across 21 shows, while Cinepolis added another 0.2k tickets, earning nearly ₹ 0.3 lakh from 22 shows. PVR recorded the highest occupancy among the three at a notable 14.6 per cent. Regionally, Chennai was the strongest market for the film. Across 78 shows in the city, the overall occupancy stood at 19.3 per cent. The city shows started strong with 23 per cent occupancy in the morning and concluded with 22 per cent for the night shows. Coimbatore also showed some promise with a 12.0 per cent overall occupancy, peaking at 22 per cent at night. However, other major centers like Bengaluru remained quiet, recording a low overall occupancy of just 3.5 per cent across 32 shows.
