Box Office: Punjabi Historical Drama 'Mastaney' and Gujarati Movie '3 Ekka' Emerge Huge Blockbusters
New Delhi, September 9 - It has been excellent last few weeks for the regional Indian movies at the box office. While the main stream cinema is reaching new heights, the success of the regional movies has been heartening, and two of the hugely successful movies emerged in the last few weeks Punjabi and Gujarati cinema.## Mastaney - The Punjabi-language historical action drama film has had fantastic run so far, especially at the overseas box office. It has become the second highest-grossing Punjabi movie of all-time, behind only recently released all-time blockbuster "Carry on Jatta 3" which grossed over 100 crores worldwide.## Mastaney, directed by Sharan Art, has grossed approximately 69 crores worldwide in 15 days so far. In India, the movie has minted approximately 28 crores while overseas collection is 41 crores. Domestically, it has 5th highest-grossing Punjabi movie of all-time. The movie was on course to score another 5-7 crores more but got hit badly after the release of Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan".## 3 Ekka - Starring prominent Gujarati actors, Malhar Thakar, and Yash Soni, the comedy drama film has truly been on sensational run so far. Since its debut on August 25, the movie has performed consistently well in the first two weeks.## Thanks to its brilliant run so far, "3 Ekka" has become the second highest-grossing Gujarati movie of all-time. In the two week, the movie scored approximately 22.20 crores net (26.25 crores gross) collection to emerge one of the biggest blockbusters of Gujarati cinema. It is now only behind "Chaal Jeevi Laiye!" which grossed over 50 crores worldwide. ## Stay tuned...
