'Aankh Micholi' First Week and 'Tejas' Two Weeks Box Office Collection Update

Mumbai, November 10 - It was another week when new Bollywood movies failed badly at the box office. Though there were no expectations from the new releases things could have been smooth for theatres before the biggie "Tiger 3" arrived on November 12 to rule the roost. ## In the last week, the family comedy-drama film "Aankh Micholi", starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Mrunal Thakur, and Paresh Rawal, was released and died down the first weekend itself. The movie didn't make much impact at the box office as it scored just approx. 2 crores net in the entire first week.## "Aankh Micholi" was one of the many recent films that got released in theatres for the sake of release. The makers didn't even bother promoting and tried to generate buzz around the film, which sealed its fate. ## Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut's "Tejas" had a horrible second week as it scored only approximately 75 lakh after the poor first week. The total net collection of the movie is approximately 6.25 crores in two weeks, turning out to be another disaster for the actress. ## In between the disappointing results, Vikrant Massey's drama film "12th Fail" is going from strength to strength. The movie scored approx. 14.20 crores net in the second week which is bigger than the first week's collection of approx. 13.05 crores net. ## The Vidhu Vinod Chopra's directorial movie has reached 27.25 crores net in two weeks and is eyeing to finish its run at around 35 crores net which will be an excellent result for the movie. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, September 21: Actress-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty, who has judged dance-based reality shows like Super Dancer', Nach Baliye' and Zara Nachke Dikha, will now be judging a talent-based show "India's Got Talent". ## Shilpa says the country is brimming with talent and "India's Got Talent" is the right platform to showcase their skills, not just in dance but in other fields too such as singing, athleticism, and many more. ## "India's Got Talent is a show that I have closely followed over the years. Netflix India Announces Its Slate Of 2021 Releases Including Films and Web Shows

Streaming giant Netflix on Wednesday announced the slate of its upcoming releases which will be streaming on its platform in 2021. The slate includes a total of 41 titles including the next seasons of Delhi Crime, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Mismatched, Kota Factory, Little Things, and others. ## This year, Netflix India will also release original true crime documentaries, one of which is based on Ma Anand Sheela apart from the comedy show of Kapil Sharma. Shirley Setia: I get nervous and scared while talking to strangers

Mumbai, March 28 (IANS) New Zealand-based singer-actress Shirley Setia is all set to make her Bollywood debut this year. But before that, she has already just featured in the Netflix film, "Maska".## In the movie, Shirley plays a blogger. Talking about her character, the actress said: "My character's name is Persis. She is a very strong-headed girl. She is independent. She is very passionate about stories and finding out people's stories. She is a blogger. So you will always see her with a camera and a voice recorder."## "She talks to people and writes about them in her blog. She is making a new book about Irani cafes and their culture, about the people related to the Irani cafes. Not just the people who own them but also the regular customers who have a lot of memories with such cafes. That's how she meets Rumi (played by Prit Kamani) and the story unfolds," said Shirley sharing further details about the story.## The actress then shared her similarities with her own screen character. When quizzed about the same, Shirley thought for a while and said: "Some things I relate to like her passion for stories. I've always been very passionate about stories even when I was just a singer. I still sing. When you are writing a song, you want to put a story in it which the audience and your fans can relate to. So, I related to her passion for stories. There are some aspects of her character which I might not absolutely agree with. I guess that's where we differ. But both of us are quite independent and strong-headed. We know what we want to do, how we want to focus on things."## Being an introvert person, it was not easy to play a blogger, especially because she gets nervous and scared while talking to strangers revealed the newcomer. She said: "It was a little difficult because I am an introvert person. When you are a blogger, you have to go to random people, talk to them, take their pictures, you have to be out of your comfort zone. This was very difficult for me because I get very scared and nervous while talking to strangers."## However, things became easier after a few workshops. "Our director did workshops with us and put me in such a situation that I had to go talk to random people as Persis and ask them their stories. It was unexpected but helped me understand the mindset of the character. She is free and doesn't care about what people think of her. She does what she feels is right. I wish I could also be like that," expressed Shirley.## Even though brought up in New Zealand, the 24-year-old actress speaks fluent Hindi. Talking about the same, she revealed: "We speak in Hindi at home. Also, when I was in high school, I used to work as a radio jockey in a Hindi radio station in New Zealand."## On the work front, Shirley is set to make her Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan's "Nikamma" where she stars alongside Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani.## Meanwhile, her Netflix debut film "Maska" premiered yesterday. One year on, Radhika Madan fondly looks back at 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota'

Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) The action-comedy "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota" was released a year ago on this day. Although the film failed to create much of a ripple at the box-office, it has been accepted as a cult flick by the niche audience.## Radhika Madan, who has been impressing Bollywood buffs with her recent outing "Angrezi Medium", was the heroine of "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota". She was paired opposite debutant actor Abhimanyu Dassani, son of "Maine Pyar Kiya" heroine Bhagyashree.## A year down the line, Radhika got nostalgic recalling the Vasan Bala-directed film. "I feel extremely happy today as 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' completes a year. This film is always special for me because it helped me push my boundaries and perform action sequences that I couldn't have imagined. There are so many fond memories. This was the film that really changed my foundation. I had grown up watching films where hair and sarees flew, but Vasan sir made me understand that in the end, it is just going to be my craft that will sustain. Shirley Setia: My real journey has just started

Pune, March 9 (IANS) From singing covers on YouTube to performing live at concerts and now making her acting debut in the Bollywood film 'Nikamma', 24-year-old Shirley Setia has come a long way. But she feels 'it's just the beginning'.## "There's so much to do and explore in life. I am glad that Indian industry-accepted me and welcomed me with open arms. I agree it was not easy for me to become an online sensation...there was a lot of hard work involved, but still there is a long way to go. I have so much to learn and experience. My real journey has just started," Shirley told IANS on the sidelines of the Gaana Crossblade Punjabi Music Festival in Pune.## Shirley was a little kid when she had to leave India and move to New Zealand with her family. She actually rose to fame in 2013 after she won a competition organized by T-Series. She recorded the popular Hindi song "Tum Hi Ho" that gathered a lot of views on YouTube. The early marriage took a toll on her fledgling career and she never quite managed to make a comeback. ## While Bhagyashree and hubby Himalaya have always known to be deeply in love, she has now revealed that there was a one-and-a-half year phase when she had to stay away from him. ## In a video posted by celebrity lensperson Viral Bhayani on Instagram, the 51-year-old actress is seen interacting at an event. In the video, she says: "Himalaya ji was my first love and, yes, I got married to him. Lekin ek arsa tha beech mein jab hum juda ho gaye the (However, there was a period of time in between when we were separated)." ## Bhagyashree continued to say that the period of separation made her mull over the question of what would happen if she had not married Himalaya. "I had that feeling that 'what if I hadn't got him in my life and I had married someone else?' It got me to that stage because there was a period of a year and a half that we weren't together. Woh ehsaas abhi bhi yaad aata hai toh darr lagta hai (recalling that feeling still scares me)." ## Back in the day, it had been reported how Bhagyashree and Himalaya got married in a hush-hush temple ceremony against the wishes of their parents, in the presence of Salman and "Maine Pyar Kiya" director Sooraj Barjatya among a handful of close friends and colleagues. ## Bhagyashree's son Abhimanyu Dassani is now an aspiring actor. He has a couple of projects lined up this year. In "Nikamma", he will be seen opposite debutante actress Shirley Setia, while Shilpa Shetty makes a comeback in the film. That apart, Abhimanyu has also signed "Aankh Micholi" opposite "Super 30a actress Mrunal Thakur.
