Mumbai, November 30 - IMDb has unveiled the list of the top 10 most popular Indian theatrical movies of 2023 so far and once again it is dominated by Bollywood titles. The list is determined by page views on IMDb by fans. ## Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan are the first two most popular Indian movies of the year, respectively. Both movies grossed over 2100 crores at the global box office and are currently the top two highest-grossing Indian movies of the year. Interestingly, SRK is also the most popular Indian star of the year, as per IMDb rankings. ## Karan Johar's directorial return, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is the third most popular Indian movie of the year so far. Mumbai, June 24 - One of the biggest blockbusters post the covid-19 pandemic, director Sudipto Sen's The Kerala Story has completed 50 days in cinemas, which is no short of miraculous achievement. The movie has been in controversy since its release due to its subject but that couldn't stop it from scoring big numbers at the box office. ## The Kerala Story falls in similar lines as Vivek Agnihotri's last year's blockbuster The Kashmir Files. TKF, which took the opening of just 3.55 crores net, ended up as one of the biggest grosser of 2022 with over 250 crores net collection. ## Unlike TKF, The Kerala Story had a much bigger opening of 8.03 crores net, however, it is most likely to finish below TKF's final total. In 50 days, TKS has scored around 242 crores net (239 crores Hindi) collection, which is the second highest for a Bollywood movie in 2023, after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, and 21st overall of all time in Hindi.## At the overseas box office, the Adah Sharma-fronted drama film has seen a good run with approx. 15.50 crores gross, this takes the total worldwide collection of the film to 302 crores. Mumbai, June 14 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story is nearing its end at the box office but it has done more than what was asked for. The movie has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time with its phenomenal collection. ## Starring Adah Sharma, "The Kerala Story" has crossed the 300 crores mark at the global box office, and becomes only the 2nd Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It has so far grossed approx. 302 crores, including approx. 15.50 crores overseas box office in 49 days. ## At the domestic box office, TKS grossed around 286.50 crores (including 3 crores of Telugu version) to date, which is the second biggest for a Bollywood movie this year after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan". Mumbai, May 26 - The 4th installment of producer Vipul Shah's action thriller franchise Commando is officially in the works and has already commenced filming, confirms Adah Sharma who reprises her role as Bhavana Reddy. ## The shoot of Commando 4 commences with no prior announcement. The movie reunites the lead pair Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma after "Commando 3" which was released in 2019.## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Adah said that she is excited to be back as Bhavana Reddy in the upcoming film. "I am doing Commando with him (Vipul Shah), where I again play Bhavana Reddy. So for the action fans, that’s still there. There will be more action and more comedy... that role stays as is in Commando". ## Andy Long, who is Jackie Chan's stunt director, is on board the movie. "So the action is also going to be quite cool, and they are using different objects as weapons. Mumbai, May 26 - Director Sudipto Sen's blockbuster The Kerala Story continues to make money at the box office after putting up a solid third-week collection. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time. This pushed the total net collection of "The Kerala Story" to over 212 crores, which makes it the 24th highest-earning Hindi of all time. ## "The Kerala Story" will look to top "The Kashmir Files" in its lifetime run. TKF scored approx. 252 crores net collection, which is the 16th highest-ever for a Hindi movie. In India, The Kerala Story has grossed approx. 194 crores (164.59 crores net) while the overseas collection is approx. 6 crores in 13 days.## The Kerala Story was released on May 12 in overseas markets and will debut in the UK on May 19. Mumbai, May 1 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story, which is scheduled to release on May 5, 2023, has overtaken Shah Rukh Khan-fronted actioner Jawan as the most anticipated new Indian movie, as per IMDb. ## "The Kerala Story" follows the story of a group of women from Kerala who are converted to Islam and join the extremist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the movie stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani in prominent roles. ## The movie is claimed to have been based on real-life incidents, however, the opposition political parties of India are calling it a propaganda movie for showing Kerala state in a bad light. This has steered new controversy which seems to be helping the film in getting the attention of the audiences. ## The anticipation around the film has increased over the past week after the trailer was launched. As per IMDb, "The Kerala Story" has a 45% page views share at the moment, way ahead of "Jawan" which has an 18% page views share.
