Netflix Top 10: 'Rebel Moon' Tops 50 Million Views; 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' Debuts In Top 5

Mumbai, January 3 - Netflix released its weekly viewership chart and Zack Snyder's sci-fi epic Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire stayed on top for the second week in a row worldwide by a huge margin. ## The over $160 million budgeted flick, despite the poor reviews, has crossed 50 million views and over 100 million viewing hours in the first 10 days. After debuting at number 1 with 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views, the movie scored 77 million viewing hours from 34 million views in the week of December 25 - December 31, 2023. ## The total viewership of "Rebel Moon" is 131.1 million viewing hours from 57.9 million views in the first 10 days. The numbers are good considering the poor reviews from critics at 24% and the average response from audiences at 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.## Starring Sofia Boutella, the film is set in a fictional galaxy ruled by the imperialistic Motherworld, whose military, the Imperium, threatens a farming colony on the moon of Veldt. Kora, a former Imperium soldier, ventures on a quest to recruit warriors from across the galaxy to make a stand against the Imperium before they return to Veldt. ## Meanwhile, the coming-of-age Bollywood drama film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan debuted at number 4 in the non-English category with 6.3 million viewing hours from 2.8 million views in its first weekend. Mumbai, August 30 - Director duo Raj&DK's latest web series Guns and Gulaabs has crossed 20 million viewing hours on Netflix in the first 10 days. The black comedy crime thriller stars Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanchay Goswami, Gulshan Devaiah, Pooja Gor, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, among other in prominent roles.## "Guns and Gulaabs" debuted August 18 on Netflix and scored 8.1 million viewing hours from 1.3 million views in the opening weekend (August 18-20), and was the 8th most-watched non-English show globally. During the week of August 21-27, the series generated 13.3 million viewing hours from 2.2 million views and was the 7th most-watched title globally.## The total viewing hours of the series are 21.4 million from just 3.5 million views. The reviews from the critics are mixed while audience score is 78% on IMDb which can be seen as decent. Set in the 90s world of crime and violence, it depicts the story of love and innocence blending with humour and romance.## Meanwhile, Prabhas-fronted Adipurush (Hindi) has crossed 15 million views in the first 17 days of its release on Netflix. The movie scored 12.7 million viewing hours from 4.3 million views in the first 10 days (August 11-20). During the week of August 21-27, it scored 2.6 million viewing hours from 900K views, which takes the total watch time of the movie to 15.3 million from 5.2 million views.## Directed by Om Raut, the film is based on the epic Ramayana. Mumbai, July 15 - Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment has announced a new release date of the horror comedy film Phone Bhoot, starring Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter. ## The Gurmmeet Singh-directed movie, which was earlier announced for October 7, 2022, release, will now be hitting worldwide theaters on November 4 in the same year. It will be clashing with Arjun Kapoor and Tabu's Kuttey at the box office. Mumbai, Dec 25 (IANS) Adarsh Gourav is undergoing intense physical training to transform for his part in an upcoming project. The actor, who took to training during the lockdown credits it for his well-being. ## He says it helps him with mindfulness and better output in terms of work. ## Adarsh, who secured a spot in Variety's list of International Breakout Stars of 2021, says, "Fitness for me is something very personal. The process began during the lockdown and honestly, fitness of this kind required a lot of discipline. Both physical and mental, you have to keep up with a schedule, watch what you eat (sic)." ## He adds that the training is helping him with physical transformation, "So definitely enjoying this period and this fitness journey.
