Box Office: Blockbuster Karthikeya 2 Tops 100 Crores Gross Worldwide
Hyderabad, August 31 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's mystery action-adventure film Karthikeya 2 has entered the coveted 100 crores gross club at the worldwide box office with today's collection, becomes only the 4th Telugu movie of 2022 to achieve the milestone after Bheemla Nayan, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and RRR. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, "Karthikeya 2" has had trouble getting released in theaters but it overcame all the challenges to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema. For a medium-range Telugu movie, "Karthikeya 2" is only the second film of all time in Tollywood cinema to reach the 100 crores mark after Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's "Geetha Govindam". ## However, unlike "Geetha Govindam", K2 has had simultaneous Hindi release with the Telugu version and it has hugely benefitted from the Hindi version with a gross collection of approx. 30 crores, in addition to approx. 58 crores in the Telugu version at the domestic box office. The overseas collection is approx. 13 crores. ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory, K2 is also proved to be one of the most profitable Telugu films of all time with a profit of around 38 crores so far from the share collection of 51 crores. The film brought a lot of joy to the distributors who were looking for one big hit post "RRR". ## The film serves as a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya and stars Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher in prominent roles along with Srinivasa Reddy, Adithya Menon, and Satya, among others in supporting roles. ## Stay tuned...
