Sunny Deol Joins The Shoot of 'Border 2'

Mumbai, February 18 - The sequel to the iconic blockbuster Border is among the biggest Indian films of 2026. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 went on floors last year and the shoot is currently happening in the rugged cantonment of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. ## Varun Dhawan, who is playing one of the main leads started filming recently and now, the OG, Sunny Deol joined the filming on Tuesday. The actor is reprising his role from the original movie, released in 1997. Mumbai, January 16 - One of the biggest films in the making, Border 2 has commenced filming on January 16 in the scenic cantonment areas of Jhansi. The film is directed by Punjabi director Anurag Singh and is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, and co-producer Shiv Chanana. ## Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, who headlines this mega project with OG Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, joins the first schedule which is set in the highly secluded armed forces cantonment areas of Jhansi. All New Indian Films Coming To Amazon Prime Video After Their Theatrical Release

Mumbai, March 19 - Amazon Prime Video set to woo audiences around the world, craving for Indian content. The streaming giant has announced a new slate with 70 Indian shows and movies that are scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform over the next two years. ## Amid the original shows and movies, Prime Video also announced several films which will premiere after their theatrical releases. While some of the films are already in the filming stage, some of them will start rolling soon and will premiere on Prime Video after completing their theatrical journey. ## Here are all the Indian movies coming to Prime Video after their theatrical release - ## Housefull 5 - The fifth instalment in the popular comedy franchise, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, and Riteish Deshmukh in the leading roles. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, HF5 is scheduled to hit big screens on June 6, 2025. ## Chandu Champion - Actor Kartik Aaryan teamed up with director Kabir Khan for this inspirational sports drama, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films. ## Ustaad Bhagat Singh - Director Harish Shankar reunited with superstar Pawan Kalyan for this mass entertainer, also starring Sree Leela. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie will be released in 2025. ## Game Changer - The highly-awaited political action thriller, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, and director by Shankar, the movie has been in production for a long time. It is expected to hit big screens in the last quarter of 2024. ## Family Star - Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur come together for the first time to headline director Parasuram's family drama film. Produced by Dil Raju, the movie is scheduled to release on April 5, 2024. ## Bad Newz - Karan Johar's Dharma Production announced a comedy-drama starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Bollywood Box Office Report: 2021

Mumbai, Jan 7, 2022: The cinemas remained shut for most of 2021 due to Covid 19 but things were back to normal with the release of Sooryavanshi on Diwali 2021. There was a total of 73 films released in 2021 and 32 of them were theatrical releases. Those 32 films have contributed around 550cr collections at the box office which is a fair result as there is something in the bag rather than nothing. These 32 films also include the dubbed version of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise. ## The Biggest plus of the year was the business of Sooryavanshi and dubbed version collections of Pushpa. Released on Diwali, The Akshay Kumar fronted Sooryavanshi was the first film that brought back the audience to the theatres in a big way if we ignore the dubbed version of Pushpa which is a non-Hindi film. With collections of around 196cr - Sooryavanshi has become the Biggest Grosser of the Hindi film industry. ## After Sooryavanshi, the only other film which did decent business was Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma starrer Antim: The Final Truth with collections of around 40 Cr. After this, there was a Tadap that had done okayish business with 26cr collections. Tadap was the launch of Suniel Shetty Son Ahan Shetty and according to that, the business is decent. ## The Biggest disappointments of the year were the rejection of big films like Satyamev Jayate2, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, and 83. While John Abraham starrer Satyamev Jayate2 was expected to put big box office figures as the first part was a huge hit, Ayushman Khurrana's Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was expected to draw a premium multiplex audience due to its premise but both the films have failed to live onto the expectations. The big Xmas event film of the year starring Ranveer Singh - "83" was expected to challenge the numbers of Sooryavanshi but the film has failed to do that with just 95cr collections till now and nothing is coming from the theatres now as the cinemas across many states got shut. ## There were some Hindi films which released in February and March like Mumbai Saga And Roohi. Roohi had collected around 22crs at the box office while Mumbai Saga did 17cr approx business. ## The Top 5 Highest Hindi Net Grossers Of The Year ## 1. Bollywood Box Office Update Before Spiderman Juggernaut

Mumbai, Dec 16, 2021: There have been few films that had done decently well at the box office whose run gonna end as the box office will see the release of juggernaut called Spiderman: No Way Home. ## The first film which brought the audience back to the theatre - Sooryavanshi which was released on Diwali saw a huge Opening-weekend. The film had good enough public reports and trended well since its weekend. There have been few circuits that didn't perform for Sooryavanshi but the Blockbuster business in Maharashtra and Gujarat had nullified that. The Total collections of Sooryavanshi now stand at 195.22 Cr plus and the film is looking to finish its theatrical run at around 196 Cr. ## The 2nd film which did well theatrically post the release of Sooryavanshi was Antim: The Final Truth starring Ayush Sharma and supported by the much-hyped extended cameo of Salman Khan. The film had seen good first weekend collections and just like Sooryavanshi, the reports were good for Antim too. As a result, Antim had seen healthy collections over weekdays to give a total of 39.40cr till now. Antim will finish its theatrical run at 40 Cr. The film has emerged as a successful film in trade terms. ## The 3rd film which had done well was Tadap which was the debut film of Suniel Shetty's Son Ahan Shetty. The music of the film was well-received and despite the new face, the film got good footfalls in its theatrical run. The total collections of the film now stand at 26.81 Cr and the film will end its theatrical run at 28cr. ## The Two films that didn't perform as expected were Satyamev Jayate2 starring John Abraham and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui starring Ayushman Khurana. The film has faced competition due to the release of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and lost a substantial amount of screens and shows but despite that, the film should have collected more on its 2nd Friday. ## The drop is approx 31% from Thursday as Thursday collected 1.51 Cr. Box Office: Tadap Packs A Solid Punch At The BO In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, December 6 - Ahan Shetty's Bollywood debut kicks off to a promising note as the newcomer's "Tadap" put up a strong total at the box office over the first weekend. Released on December 3, "Tadap" netted Rs. 13.52 crores in the first three days, which is a great result of a debutante, even in the pre-covid level. ## The Sajid Nadiadwala's production, also featuring Tara Sutaria as the female lead, opened to Rs. 4.05 crores on Friday with a slight jump (1.79%) on Saturday for Rs. 4.12 crores. For the Sunday holiday, "Tadap" jumped by nearly 30% for a healthy Rs. 5.35 crores, taking its 3-day total to Rs. 13.52 crores.## Directed by Milan Lutharia, "Tadap" was way ahead of Salman Khan, Ayush Sharma, and Mahima Makawana-starrer "Antim: The Final Truth", which netted an estimated total of Rs. 5.48 crores over the second weekend. However, "Antim" showed growth over the second weekend, taking its 10-days total India net to Rs. 34.83 crores and worldwide gross to Rs. 47.2 crores (approx.). ## Made in a budget of around Rs. 20 crores, "Tadap" has so far grossed approx Rs. 19 crores worldwide. The box office collection so far for the remake of the Telugu movie "RX100" is a big relief for the Bollywood film industry. It was a question mark on the film's success considering the covid-19 pandemic and a new face leading it. All the doubts are gone now, and the eyes will be on how it performs over the weekdays for the healthy first week total. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavanshi" is going strong at the box despite being available on Netflix.
