While the movie is slated to go on floors in a couple of months, Salman is actively in talks with several other directors. ## It is said that Salman Khan has reportedly been talking to Kabir Khan, Ali Abbas Zafar, Anees Bazmee, and Rajkumar Periasamy. Now, according to the report by PeepingMoon.com, the "Sultan" star is in talks with Malayalam director Mahesh Narayanan for an action thriller film. ## The report states that Narayanan held talks with Salman in Mumbai for a large-scale action thriller. It is said to be a more commercially oriented script of Mahesh Narayanan, who is best known for acclaimed Malayalam films like "Take Off," "CU Soon," and "Malik". ## Meanwhile, Salman Khan will be playing Colonel B. Salman Khan Locks His Next Film After 'Sikandar'

Mumbai, May 17 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has locked his next film after the recently released Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office. The actor has been in talks with multiple directors, including Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, but he has prioritised Apoorva Lakhia's army-based film. ## There have been reports that Salma and Apoorva will team up for the first time for a film about the Galwan Valley clash between India and China. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is based on the novel India's Most Fearless 3, set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley Conflict. ## "Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. It will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70 days. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full-fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation", says that report.## Apart from Lakhiya, Salman Khan is also discussing a film with director Kabir Khan, who previously collaborated with the Sultan star for Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight (2017). However, despite Salman's willingness, the duo's 4th collaboration won't be Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. ## "Kabir Khan is against sequels, and doesn’t want to touch a classic like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He has pitched an original, larger-than-life drama to Salman, and the actor is considering that as a follow-up to Apoorva Lakhia, but nothing is confirmed at the moment", the report further stated. ## Stay tuned...

Ali Abbas Zafar Returns To YRF For The Upcoming Films

Mumbai, August 30 - Blockbuster director Ali Abbas Zafar is returning to Yash Raj Films to direct some of the biggest films upcoming films from the studio, reports Variety. ## The Sultan director made his directorial debut with YRF's romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, starring Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar in 2011. He followed this with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor's Gunday (2014) for the studio. ## Zafar got his biggest breakthrough under YRF in 2016 when he directed superstar Salman Khan's sports drama Sultan which is his highest-grossing film to date. A year later in 2017, the filmmaker reunited with Salman for another blockbuster, Tiger Zinda Hai, the second instalment of YRF's popular spy universe franchise created by YRF head Aditya Chopra. ## After making his first 4 directorial ventures for Yash Raj Films, Abbas Zafar reunited with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star for the third time for Bharat (2019) which was the filmmaker's first movie outside YRF, before he directed 2 OTT films - Jogi (2022) and Bloody Daddy (2023). ## After scoring big success with all his theatrical films, Ali had a rare misfire earlier this year in the form of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which bombed at the box office. Now, after nearly 7 years, the successful filmmaker is making his way back to YRF where he scored a couple of his biggest blockbusters.## It is not yet clear which upcoming YRF projects Ali will direct and the report says it will be original theatrical tentpole titles. As said, the studio has Dhoom 4, Pathaan 2, and Tiger vs Pathaan, as some of the hugely-awaited films in the pipeline and there is a possibility that Ali may take one or two projects to direct.## Stay tuned...

Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Hits 100 Crore Worldwide Gross

Mumbai, April 25 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's fronted action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has crossed 100 crores at the worldwide box office but it is not a chest-thumping achievement due to the poor progress in reaching the mark. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has taken 14/15 days to reach 100 crores worldwide, a target which should have been achieved in the opening weekend itself but the chances were dismissed after the below-average start. ## The movie has grossed around 69 crores at the domestic box office and an estimated 31 crores overseas. BMCM is the 6th Bollywood film of 2024 to hit 100 crores worldwide and for Akshay Kumar, it is his first of 2024 and 3rd movie since the covid-19 pandemic. Tiger Shroff also scored his first 100 crores worldwide grosser in the post-covid era but is yet to score his first success.## Produced by Pooja Entertainment, the movie has left not much gas in the tank as it is heading for a finish under 115 crores worldwide gross collection which is a disappointing result for film featuring top talents of the country. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan First Week Collection

Mumbai, April 19 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has had a disappointing first-week collection at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. Despite the Eid release and strong cast and crew, the movie failed to cash in on the opportunity. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action thriller scored a little under 50 crores net collection in all versions, including an estimated 49.25 crores in Hindi in the extended 8-day first week. Ideally, for a film like BMCM, this should have been a 2-day collection. ## At the overseas box office, BMCM was released through Yash Raj Films but the response was underwhelming as it scored an estimated 27 crores in the first week. Adding to the domestic gross collection of approximately 59.50 crores, the movie grossed 86.50 crores worldwide which is a very poor total. ## BMCM is heading for a finish under 125 crores worldwide against a budget of over 300 crores, turning into a big failure at the box office. The movie was expected to continue the winning streak of Bollywood but will end up as a big shocker to the industry. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan Third Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 13 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan shows a jump of around 15% on its first Saturday which might not be good enough after the underwhelming first two days for a movie carrying massive cost. ## According to early estimates, Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial flick scored 8.50-9 crores net, pushing the total to around 31.75 crores in 3-days. Ideally, the movie should have scored somewhere close to the opening day collection to get close to 50 crores opening weekend but it will now fall well short of that target. ## The opening weekend of BMCM is heading towards 40-43 crores net which is poor for the size of the movie. The biz on Monday will give a fair idea of where the film is heading as far as the lifetime collection is concerned. ## Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan sees a big jump of around 80% on its third day, however, the overall collection remains on the lower side with an estimated 5.50-6 crores net. The big jump was a must for the film after earning nowhere near its potential in the first two days. ## The total collection of the film after three days is over 15.50 crores net which is still very poor for a big-budget film. The movie will need to show a similar or bigger jump on Sunday as well and then will have to hope for a strong hold on Monday to stand a chance for a decent lifetime total. ## The good thing for both BMCM is that there is not a big release for the next couple of weeks so they will have a chance to collect if manage to hold on Monday. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: Top 10 Eid Holiday Collection Of Bollywood Movies

Mumbai, April 12 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released on the Eid holiday but performed underwhelming at the box office. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie scored an estimated 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. ## Eid has been one of the biggest days for the Bollywood box office but BMCM failed to seize the opportunity by not being able to generate enough buzz to score big on the day. Despite featuring an A-List star cast and a blockbuster director, the movie couldn't even make it to the top 10 biggest Eid holiday collections. ## There was Ajay Devgn's Maidaan also released but it also performed poorly, earning just around 4.50 crores net. Superstar Salman Khan's films have traditionally done well on Eid and have dominated the top 10 collections of this particular festival. ## Have a look at the Eid Holiday collections of Bollywood movies (Hindi) - ## 1. Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, April 10 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff's long-awaited action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran is hitting the big screens on April 11 and the expectations are high from this one as far as the box office concerned. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, BMCM advances were opened nearly a week before the release but the response in the pre-sales was an absolute disaster until the last hours during which the sales jumped huge from what they were 12 hours before the release. ## As of 11 PM on April 10, the advance sales of BMCM are approximately 4.15 crores with around 160K tickets sold for the opening day. The final pre-sales could be around 4.50 crores which is respectable given the fact that they were in no position to reach this mark at one stage. ## The Eid holiday factor and the advance booking trend indicate the opening of BMCM around 20 crores which is not huge with the kind of star power it involves but a decent which gives some sort of hope of jumping over the weekend if it manages to get positive word of mouth. ## Eid usually entertains spot booking and the makers of BMCM will be hoping to receive positive word of mouth to get the best use of the holiday. It is expected to be released on over 3500 screens across the country which is a wide-release despite clashing with Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan. ## BMCM is produced by Pooja Entertainment and it also stars Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Sonakshi Sinha in female lead roles. ## Stay tuned...
