'John Wick 5' Officially Confirmed With Star Keanu Reeves and Director Chad Stahelski Set To Return

Los Angeles, April 2 - John Wick is set to return for at least one more time as Lionsgate has officially confirmed the fifth installment of this action thriller franchise at the CinemaCon event 2025. ## Taking to the CinemaCon stage on Tuesday morning, Lionsgate announced John Wick 5 with star Keanu Reeves set to return as the nunchuck-wielding hitman along with director Chad Stahelski. The story for the movie has been finalized. ## Meanwhile, the action franchise is expanding with an animated prequel film and a Caine-centric standalone adventure from director-star Donnie Yen. John Wick Spin-Off 'Ballerina' Release Date Postponed By A Year

Los Angeles, February 22 - John Wick's spin-off film Ballerina starring Ana de Armas has been postponed by almost a year. The action thriller is the first spin-off movie and the fifth instalment overall in the John Wick franchise. ## According to Deadline, Ballerina, which was supposed to be released in June 2024, will now be hitting theatres on June 6, 2025. The move comes as John Wick architect Chad Stahelski has inked a new deal with Lionsgate to oversee the franchise. ## Stahelski is said to be working with Ballerina director Len Wiseman on additional action sequences for the movie, to amp it up even more than it is. Los Angeles, April 17 - The Lionsgate's action thriller John Wick: Chapter 4 becomes the highest-grossing film worldwide in the John Wick franchise after just 4 weeks of the box office run. ## The Keanu Reeves-fronted, in yet another big weekend, scored $26 million worldwide in its 4th weekend. The total worldwide gross now stands at $350 million, surpassing John Wick: Chapter 3's $328 million to become the biggest film in the blockbuster series. ## The Chad Stahelski-directed directed flick has been a success story all over. At the domestic (North America) box office, the 4th installment has grossed $160 million through 4th Sunday and will beat the total collection of John Wick 3 ($171 million) by next week. ## Overseas, the actioner has made $190 million so far over 72 markets. Dhanush's 'The Gray Man' Becomes 4th Most-Watched English Film On Netflix

Chennai, August 19 - Russo Brothers spy action thriller, The Gray Man, which marks Dhanush's Hollywood debut, has become the 4th most-watched film of all time on Netflix. The overall response, however, has been underwhelming to the movie considering the star power it is carrying. ## "The Gray Man" scored 21.16 million viewing hours in its 4th week (Aug. 8 - Aug. 14). The total viewing hours of the movie now reached 245.09 million in 24 days, ahead of "The Adam Project" (233.16M). Currently, "Red Notice" is the most-watched film on Netflix with 364.02 million viewing hours in the first 28 days, followed by "Don't Look Up" (359.79M), and "Bird Box" (282.02M) at number 2 and 3, respectively. ## "The Gray Man" needs another 37 million viewing hours to become 3rd most-watched film on the streamer in 4 days, which is looking unlikely with the response it is getting. Nonetheless, the movie still managed to finish in the top 5 despite the mixed reviews and the high budget of the film ($200M) will surely make Netflix be careful with its future films. ## Produced by the Russo brothers' company, AGBO, it is the first film in a franchise based upon Greaney's Gray Man novels.
