Vijay Sethupathi's Box Office Blockbuster and Critically Acclaimed 'Maharaja' Sets China Release

Chennai, November 16 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja which scored a huge commercial and critical acclaim earlier this year, is set to hit Chinese theatres later this month. The movie is directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced by The Route, Think Studios, and Passion Studios. ## Maharaja was released in June this year and five months later, director Nithilan confirmed on social media that it would be released in China on November 29 by Alibaba Group. The cast of the movie also includes Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in important roles. ## It is the 50th movie of Vijay Sethupathi and it emerged to be his biggest grosser with a worldwide collection of approximately 106 crores. Some of the Indian films have done wonders in China and Maharaja clicks with the audiences, it can reap rich rewards at the box office. ## The film follows Maharaja (Sethupathi), a barber in Chennai, who goes to the police station to retrieve his stolen dustbin only for the police officers to find his intentions to be something else.
