Ajith along with wife Shalini, family and friends gathered to celebrate the birthday of his son Aadvik Ajith Kumar. ## The pictures from the event which went viral on social media, feature Ajith looking dapper in a suit, while Aadvik looks cute in a special costume that resembles a shark. The two are surrounded by Aadvik's young friends, with an aquarium in the backdrop. Ajith's mother Mohini is also seen in the video. ## If Ajith is known as Thala to fans, Aadvik is fondly called Kutty Thala. He was born on March 2, 2015. Los Angeles, March 2 (IANS) Actress Jennifer Lopez says she was sad when she failed to get an Oscar nomination for her movie 'Hustlers'. ## The actress opened up on her snub at this year's Oscars during a discussion with Oprah Winfrey, reports variety.com. ## "I was a little sad because there was a lot of build up to it. There were so many articles. I got so many good notices - more than ever in my career - and there was a lot of ‘She's going to get nominated for an Oscar. It's going to happen; if she doesn't, you're crazy'. I'm reading all the articles going, ‘Oh my God, could this happen?' And then it didn't and I was like, ‘Ouch.' It was a little bit of a letdown," she said. ## Many expected the "Hustlers" star to have her name called out during this year's nominations for supporting actress, but Lopez was missing from the list. Kathy Bates ("Richard Jewell"), Laura Dern ("Marriage Story"), Scarlett Johansson ("Jojo Rabbit"), Florence Pugh ("Little Women") and Margot Robbie ("Bombshell") made the cut instead, with Dern taking home the award. ## She opened up about the snub at Winfrey's "2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus Tour" on Saturday. Lopez also admitted she felt like she let her close friends down. ## "Most of my team has been with me for years - 20, 25 years - and I think they had a lot of hopes on that and they wanted it, too. Los Angeles, March 2 (IANS) Pop superstar Katy Perry says she isn't very close to singer Taylor Swift. ## In an interview with Stellar magazine, Perry addressed the much talked about speculation over her relationship with fellow pop star Swift, reports etonline.com. ## The musicians have had a rocky relationship over the years, and now Perry has shared that the two do not have a great bond currently. ## "We don't have a very close relationship because we are very busy, but we text a lot," she said, adding: "I was impressed by her documentary ('Miss Americana') because I saw some self-awareness starting to happen and I saw a lot of vulnerability." ## "I was really excited for her to be able to show that to the world: that things aren't perfect, they don't have to be and it's more beautiful when they aren't. New York, March 2 (IANS) Older people who experience daytime sleepiness even after having adequate sleep at night may be at the risk of developing new medical conditions, including diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure, says a study. ## The condition called hypersomnolence is defined as excessive daytime sleepiness even after having seven or more hours of sleep. ## It can be debilitating for some people, affecting the way that they perform at work and in other daily activities. ## "Paying attention to sleepiness in older adults could help doctors predict and prevent future medical conditions," said study author Maurice Ohayon of Stanford University in California. ## "Older adults and their family members may want to take a closer look at sleeping habits to understand the potential risk for developing a more serious medical condition," said Ohayon. ## The study involved 10,930 people. About 34 percent of the participants were 65 years or older. ## The findings are scheduled to be presented at the American Academy of Neurology's 72nd annual meeting to be held in Toronto from April 25 to May 1. ## For the study, the researchers interviewed participants over the phone two times, three years apart. In the first interview, 23 percent of people over 65 met the criteria for excessive sleepiness. ## In the second interview, 24 percent reported excessive sleepiness. Of those, 41 percent said the sleepiness was a chronic problem. ## The study found that people who reported sleepiness in the first phone interview had a 2.3 times greater risk of developing diabetes or high blood pressure three years later than those who did not experience sleepiness. ## They were also twice as likely to develop cancer. ## Of the 840 people who reported sleepiness at the first interview, 52 people, or 6.2 percent, developed diabetes compared to 74 people, or 2.9 percent of those who were never sleepy during the day. ## Also, of the 840 people who reported sleepiness, 20 people, or 2.4 percent, developed cancer compared to 21 people, or 0.8 percent of those who were never sleepy during the day. ## People who reported daytime sleepiness during both interviews had a 2.5 times greater risk of developing heart disease. She says her character in the bilingual film is impeccably detailed. ## "The arc of my character in 'Major' is impeccably detailed and done with honesty. 'Goodachari', my debut film in Telugu went on to become a critical and commercial success so it is doubly wonderful for me to reunite with the same team for a film as feisty as 'Major'," Sobhita said. ## The actress reunites again with "Goodachari" director Sashi Kiran and actor Adivi Sesh. ## Adivi, who has already started shooting for the film, will be seen playing the title role in "Major". ## "I am happy to collaborate with Sobitha after our Telugu super hit 'Goodachari'.
