Hyderabad, July 29 - Superstar musician Anirudh Ravichandar has lately been the voice of blockbuster films, not just with his music, but also with his reactions to them. Whenever he has felt good about his movies, he has reviewed them on social media with some fire emojis or other expressions of enthusiasm. ## Anirudh currently has two major projects scheduled for release in the next couple of weeks. First is Vijay Deverakonda's action thriller Kingdom on July 31st, followed by superstar Rajinikanth's hugely anticipated gangster action drama Coolie on August 14. ## While both movies carry positive buzz, everyone wants to know what the star musician thinks about them. The Telugu theatrical rights for the highly anticipated Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie have been sold for a significant amount, reportedly around ₹53 crore, making it the highest ever for a dubbed film in Tollywood history. Mumbai, July 28 - Yash Raj Films' mega blockbuster Saiyaara scored an excellent second weekend at the domestic and worldwide box office. The romantic drama, starring debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda, made it into the top 10 biggest 2nd weekends in Hindi, beating some of the all-time blockbusters in the list. ## Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara minted 74.50 crores net collection over the second Friday to Sunday frame. On the second Friday, the movie scored 18 crores net, followed by 26.50 crores on Saturday, and 30 crores on Sunday. Worldwide, the film grossed approximately 120 crores in the second weekend. ## Domestically, Saiyaara scored the 8th biggest second weekend ever at the Hindi box office. He has already released three films so far, and there is one more, Jolly LLB 3, scheduled to hit the big screens this year. The actor has multiple films in the pipeline, including the talk of the town, Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Saif Ali Khan. ## Akshay will be portraying the negative role of a ruthless, cold-blooded killer against Saif Ali Khan, who plays a blind man in this crime thriller, after many years. The actor, known for his versatility across action, comedy, and socially conscious films, revealed during an interview with Hindustan Times that Haiwaan completes what he jokingly refers to as his "unintentional trilogy" after Insaan and Jaanwar. ## The upcoming film marks a long-awaited reunion between Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 17 years. Hyderabad, July 28 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu has officially crossed the 100 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. However, despite hitting this major milestone, the film's performance over its extended four-day opening weekend has been widely regarded as underwhelming. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film was released amid massive hype and fan frenzy, which translated into a record-breaking opening day for the superstar. But the euphoria was short-lived. The movie started shrinking afterwards due to poor reviews and word of mouth. ## HHVM had all the makings of a blockbuster — a mass hero in a grand avatar, period setting, wide promotions and a big opening, which ideally should have helped it to top the 100 crore mark on its second day itself, but that wasn't the case, as it took the complete 4-day extended weekend (plus paid premiere) to get there. ## While the film did register a slight upward trend on Saturday and Sunday, the sharp drop on Friday was too steep to recover from. This abrupt fall halted any chance of a stable box office trajectory. ## What Is Next For Hari Hara Veera Mallu? ## There were criticisms of the VFX and the runtime of the movie, which led to its downfall. The makers have reportedly uploaded the updated version in cinemas worldwide. However, the rebound seems extremely difficult from hereon, as the negative word of mouth has already spread all across. ## The weekday audience profile will shift significantly compared to the fan-dominated weekend crowd. Mumbai, July 27 - Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' epic animated action drama Mahavatar Narsimha has created history at the Indian box office. After a sensational opening weekend, the Ashwin Kumar directorial has officially become the highest-grossing Indian animated film ever, surpassing the long-standing record of Hanuman (2005). ## The first film in the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe started on a good note but picked up extraordinary momentum through the weekend. The film earned approximately 2.10 crore gross on Friday, followed by a staggering +160% jump on Saturday with collections of around 5.50 crore gross. ## Sunday saw another massive surge, with early estimates suggesting collections in the range of 10.75–11.50 crore gross (9.25–9.75 crore net). From Friday to Sunday, the movie witnessed a staggering jump of around 500%. This brings the total domestic opening weekend to around 19 crore gross (approx. 15.50 crore net) — an excellent number for an animated feature in India. ## Hindi Version Leads the Way, Followed by Telugu ## The Hindi version has been the major driving force behind the film's success. After collecting around 4.50 crore net (5.50 crore gross) over the first two days, the movie scored an estimated 6.75–7 crore net (~8 crore gross) on Sunday. ## This pushes the Hindi version's weekend total to 11+ crore net and over 13.50 crore gross. Telugu version, on the other hand, has also done well and collected approximately 4.50 crores gross (3.85 crores net) in the first weekend. Other versions minted around 75 lakh. ## A New Benchmark for Indian Animation ## With its strong numbers, Mahavatar Narsimha has overtaken Hanuman (2005), which had earned an estimated 5.50 crore net (unadjusted for inflation). The film is now officially the highest-grossing Indian animated blockbuster and has redefined commercial possibilities for animated features in the country. ## Exhibitors are increasing the number of shows across the country to meet soaring demand, especially in urban centres and Hindi-speaking regions. Mumbai, July 27 - Yash Raj Films' romantic drama Saiyaara has shown no sign of any fatigue, and scored an excellent second weekend at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. The Mohit Suri directorial, which had already become the biggest opener for debutants in Hindi cinema history, is now rewriting the box office record books with each passing day. ## According to early estimates, the film has raked in an impressive 29–31 crore net on its second Sunday, marking yet another huge day for the Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda starrer. With this, the second weekend of the movie hits around 74-76 crores. ## The film's drop from its first weekend is minimal (around 10%), especially considering the large opening it enjoyed. More importantly, Saiyaara has shown superb growth over the second Saturday and Sunday, which indicates long legs at the box office.## The film's 10-day total now stands around 246 crore net in India, possibly heading towards 300 crores by the end of the second week. From multiplex audiences to single screens in mass circuits, Saiyaara is enjoying exceptional word of mouth across demographics. Its blend of fresh romance, emotional storytelling, and soulful music has struck a chord with moviegoers. ## Internationally too, the film is performing exceedingly well, with solid business reported from North America, the UK, the Middle East, and Australia. Mumbai, July 27 - Yash Raj Film's hugely-awaited spy action thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani, is said to be the costliest Indian spy film with a whopping budget of over 400 crore. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is the sixth film in YRF's Spy Universe. ## War 2 is said to be the most ambitious film in Spy Verse. The movie has been generating buzz about its grandeur, as the makers have reportedly crafted six unique action sequences to take the audience on a thrilling ride. The big scale, however, comes with a high cost, and War 2 is no different. ## According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, War 2 is made on a budget of 400 crores, which makes it the costliest Spy film in India, surpassing the budget of Salman Khan's Tiger 3 (350 crores) and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (325 crores). This budget does not include the marketing budget kept aside for print and publicity. ## The budget of War 2 comprises the production cost and actors' remuneration. According to the report, Hrithik Roshan receives a huge upfront fee of 50 crore, with an additional clause for a back-end deal involving profit sharing. Jr. NTR, on the other hand, gets the pay cheque of 70 crores, while Kiara Advani gets 15 crores. ## Anil Kapoor, who hasn't made any appearance in the teaser and trailer so far, reportedly walks away with a 10 crore fee. Apart from the actor's fee of around 150 crores, director Ayan Mukerji is getting a hefty cheque of 30 crores, and the remaining 220 crores have been invested in mounting the massive scale of the film. ## About The War 2 Movie ## War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Mumbai, July 26 - After surprising one and all with its opening day collection, Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' animated epic action drama Mahavatar Narsimha has scored more than 100% jump today, and is heading towards a blockbuster opening weekend at the domestic box office. ## Based on the 4th avatar of Lord Vishnu, the film is directed by Ashwin Kumar and is the first film in the Kaleem Production and Hombale Films' Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. ## Mahavatar Narsimha Sees More Than 100% Jump On Day 2 ## Following its opening day net of 1.30 crore (1.60 crore gross) in the Hindi version, Mahavatar Narsimha saw a spectacular jump of nearly 150% on Saturday, scoring an estimated 3.75–4 crore gross (~3.25 crore net) in Hindi alone. ## The Telugu version wasn't far behind, registering a stunning 200%+ jump to post around 1.25 crore gross. Other language versions added approximately 25 lakh gross, bringing the total Day 2 gross to 5.25–5.50 crore (4.50–4.75 crore net) — a remarkable number for an animated devotional action epic. ## Mahavatar Narsimha Eyes 15 Crore Gross Opening Weekend ## With a two-day India gross of around 7.5 crore, the film is all set for another big jump on Sunday. Mumbai, July 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has lauded the blockbuster success of Yash Raj Films' romantic drama Saiyaara, which features two newcomers, Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda. The movie, directed by Mohit Suri, has crossed 300 crores gross collection in 9 days, and is heading towards finishing over 500 crores gross. ## During a recent interview with Sonal Kalra of Hindustan Times, Akshay shared his thoughts on the movie and called it a watershed moment for the industry. "I think it's the best thing that has happened. For our Hindi film industry, it's a great moment that a film starring two newcomers—a new boy and a new girl—has succeeded," Akshay said. ## While he hasn't seen the film himself yet, Akshay mentioned that his cousin had recently watched Saiyaara and was thoroughly impressed by the performances.
