Trisha Krishnan To Be The Leading Heroin In Thalapathy 67 And Ajith Kumar's Next?

Chennai, November 20 - Actress Trisha Krishnan returns to the scene after impressing everyone with her performance in Mani Ratnam's recent blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan - 1. She hasn't been doing many films over the last few years but now, it seems she is keen to change the tide.## According to the latest reports, the actress will be reuniting with Thalapathy Vijay in Thalapathy 67. While the official announcement regarding the casting is yet to be made, multiple reliable reports have confirmed that Trisha will be the leading heroin opposite Thalapathy Vijay. The movie will be directed by Lokesh Kangaraj and it will be part of his cinematic universe.## Not only in the "Thalapathy 67", but Trisha is also reportedly in talks to play the female lead in Ajith Kumar's next film that will be directed by Vignesh Shivan. Previously, Ajith Kumar and Trisha have worked together in 3 films with "Yennai Arindhaal" (2015) being their last film together.## Ajith Kumar is currently working on "Thunivu" under the direction of H Vinoth. Aditi Rao Hydari To Feature Alongside Vijay Sethupathi In Zee Studios' Pan-India Silent Film 'Gandhi Talks'?

Mumbai, August 14, 2021: Earlier in January this year, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi announced that he be starring in a silent feature film, Gandhi Talks. He teamed up with Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who's known for directing award-winning theatre plays and films like Sa Sasucha (2010) and Yeda (2013). ## Now, the latest development is that Padmavat actress Aditi Rao Hydari has reportadly been cast to play the leading lady in this ambitious venture. The film is said to be a dark comedy with elements from Mahatma Gandhi's principles as the backdrop. It depicts the harsh realities of today's times and how Gandhi has become a prime witness of everything that he stood against. ## Gandhi Talks will be produced by Zee Studios in association with Movie Mill Entertainment. The film marks Sethupathi and Hydari's second collaboration after Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed 2018 gangster drama, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which also starred Silambarasan, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others in prominant roles. ## The Oscar winner A.R. Rahman will be composing the background score for the film. It is a Pan-India film that will release in six languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Gandhi Talks is the first multi-lingual silent feature film in 34 years. Kamal Haasan's career-defining 1987 black comedy, Pushpak, was the last noteworthy dialogue-free film to be released in various languages across India. ## It is reported that director Kishor Belekar has spent 19 years on the script of the film, which is finally set to take off. Everyone Working On Netflix's Anthology Series, Navarasa, Hasn't Taken A Professional Fee

Chennai, July 9, 2021: Netflix has unveiled the much-awaited teaser of the Tamil anthology web series, "Navarasa", created by the ace filmmaker, Mani Ratnam. The 9-episodes series stars some of the biggest names of the South Indian cinema such as Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Fahadh Faasil, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Anjali, among others. ## Unlike the other shows and films, Navarasa has been made for a noble cause. As we all know, the covid-19 pandemic had left the film industries in a bad shape as workers who form the bulk of it were struggling to make their ends meet. It was then that Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan along with the rest of the team thought of raising funds by making a series and generate funds to support those in the film industry who have been affected by the COVID19 crisis. ## It is to be noted that the artists, technicians, and directors working on the series are contributing towards the film without remuneration, with only the costs of production being associated. The profits earned from the project will be donated to the members of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Mani Ratnam, in a conversation with Sreedhar Pillai for sify.com, said that they are close to reaching their target between Rs 12 to 15 Crores, which will go directly to the worker and his family. They are working with Bhumika Trust which was set up for disaster relief management, and have issued individual credit cards to all workers. ## In the process, the team started distributing prepaid cards to the workers from the end of March 2021 onwards, with each beneficiary receiving ₹ 1,500 per month on the prepaid card for a period of five months, which can be utilized at grocery outlets. Nearly 12,000 workers in the film industry will benefit from it. ## Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan, who are producing the series under their respective banners Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies, had initially thought of releasing the anthology in theaters. However, due to the closer of cinemas because of the covid-19 pandemic and each part of the anthology being 30-40 minutes long, a theatrical release was not possible. It will now premiere on Netflix on August 6. ## Navarasas is based on the Indian concept of the 9 human emotions or 'rasas' - anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder.
