Mumbai, June 25 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn returns as Jassi Randhawa in the upcoming romantic action comedy Son of Sardaar 2, which is slated to hit the big screen on July 25 amid big expectations. Mumbai, August 2 - The sequel to Ajay Devgn-fronted Son of Sardaar is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated movies with a massive cast on board to entertain the audiences, apart from Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt who return to reprise their roles from the original movie. ## It was recently revealed that Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the first movie in the sequel. Bombay High Court Allows Release of Annu Kapoor's 'Hamare Baarah'

Mumbai, June 19 - The Bombay High Court has allowed the release of Annu Kapoor's Hamare Baarah after the makers agreed to delete some objectionable scenes. The movie, which was supposed to be released on June 7, will now hit screens on June 21. ## According to Bar and Bench, a bench of Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla watched the film and suggested changes which both the moviemakers and the petitioners agreed to. ## The court, after a thorough review, also said that the movie did not contain any objectionable content against the Quran or the Muslim community, instead, the court found the movie to be aimed at the "upliftment of women", according to NDTV report. ## "The movie is in fact for the upliftment of women. The movie has a Maulana misinterpreting the Quran and in fact, one Muslim man objects to the same in the scene. So this shows that people should apply their mind and not blindly follow such Maulanas", the high court said. ## Meanwhile, the court imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the makers of the movie for releasing the trailer before getting CBFC certification. The fine is to be donated to a charity of the petitioners' choice. "Violation was there vis-a-vis the trailer. So you will have to pay something towards a charity of the petitioner's choice. The cost will have to be paid. This litigation has got the film so much unpaid publicity", the court added.## Hamare Baarah is directed by Kamal Chandra and it also stars Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, and Ashwini Kalsekar, among others. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Merry Christmas' Gets First Look Poster and A New Release Date

Mumbai, July 17 - Director Sriram Raghavan's long-awaited drama thriller movie "Merry Christmas" starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi gets a new release date in theaters. This is the first time Katrina and Vijay are coming together on the silver screen. ## On Monday (July 17), the makers shared the first-look posters which have piqued audiences' interest. The cool-looking posters give the major vintage vibes with an intriguing tagline on the poster reads, "Raat jitni sageen hogi, subah utni rageen hogi".## The movie has been confirmed to release on December 15 this year, clashing with Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha". It will release a week before Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" and two weeks after Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal". Mumbai, December 20 - Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty gears up for his long-awaited comedy film Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, slated to hit screens on December 23 during the Christmas weekend. IANS Review: '36 Farm House': Mundane and mediocre writing weakens the foundation (IANS Rating: **1/2)

Film: '36 Farm House' (Streaming on Zee5); Duration: 108 minutes. ## Director: Ram Ramesh Sharma; Cast: Amol Parashar, Barkha Singh, Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Madhuri Bhatia, Ashwini Kalsekar, Flora Saini, Rahul Singh, Ishita Deshmukh, Nivedeta Bhargava, Gaurav Ghatnekar, Pritam Kagne, Pradeep Bajpai, Liza Singh, Hetal Puniwala. ## IANS Rating: **1/2 ## At its best, '36 Farm House' is a satirical comedy on a superficial level that does not even work as a good, moral and cautionary tale. ## Delving on the universal theme of 'Some Steal For Need - Some Steal For Greed', the narrative proceeds to tell us the story of three sons trying their best to change their mother's will to their respective advantage. To what lengths they go to achieve their goal forms the crux of this story. ## Set during the 2020 lockdown, the film appears to be a quickie trying to pass off the story as a relevant tale of our times. ## The narrative begins with migrants returning to their roots. Jay Prakash (Sanjay Mishra), aka JP, a smooth-talking opportunist, and father of two grown-up children, with the help of Benny (Ashwini Kalsekar), the housekeeper of 36 Farm House, manages to wriggle his way as a chef, into the house of Eighty-five-year-old Padmini Raj Singh (Madhuri Bhatia) the owner of 36 Farm House and its 300-acre property who had bequeathed her assets to her oldest son Raunak (Vijay Raaz). JP gets the job purely because he convinced Raunak that he is a lone soul, unmarried, and with no family members to claim his own. ## While JP is nearly settling in 36 Farm House, he learns about Benny's devious plan of stealing from her employers. During the same time, his son Harry (Amol Parashar), who was an assistant to Designer Manish Malhotra by happenstance, meets the designer Antra (Barkha Singh), who is heading to her grandmother Padmini's residence. Together they come to 36 Farm House. ## To add to the chaos is JP's concerned and worried wife Shantishree, who lands up at 36 Farm House in search of her husband while an investigation into the murder of a young lawyer, who was deputed by Padmini's younger sons- Gajendra and Virendra, to get their mother's will changed, looms large over 36 Farm House. ## But the plot, instead of focusing on the three sons, factors in several other characters with their motive, thereby diluting the narrative and reducing it into a farce. The writing as well as the direction, are purely perfunctory, very mundane, and mediocre to digest. The humour too- only elicits chuckles. ## On the performance front, every actor is within their comfort zone.
