Coolie (Starring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna,Shruti Haasan) vs War 2(starring Hrithik Roshan,Kiara Advani,Jr. NTR) : A Tale of Two Strategies in Cinematic Hype-Building

While Coolie floods the timeline, War 2 plays the long game—who’s winning the buzz war? As the Indian film industry braces for two massive releases—Rajinikanth’s Coolie and the YRF-backed War 2—a fascinating promotional contrast is unfolding. Both films boast mega stars, ambitious budgets, and massive fan bases. Yet, the way each is approaching publicity and audience engagement could not be more different. ##Here’s a closer look at how Coolie and War 2 are setting the stage in very different ways. ##Coolie: The High-Impact, High-Frequency Campaign ##From the very first motion poster, Coolie has embraced a front-loaded marketing blitz. From Rajinikanth’s stylish look to BTS glimpses and cryptic title design reveals, the campaign has been dropping high-octane updates every few weeks. The film’s marketing leans into Rajini’s mass appeal—vibrant visuals, punchy music teasers, and larger-than-life elements that resonate with single-screen and rural audiences. Despite early reveals, the strategy is now building toward a crescendo in the final two weeks—suggesting a calculated “late-peak” release arc where music launches, trailer drops, and media interviews are stacked close to the film’s release (August 14). With Telugu rights sold out early and dubbed versions already prepped, the campaign is clearly eyeing pan-India domination. Coolie’s promotion is loud, visible, and momentum-driven. ##Building Momentum Through Precision and Minimalism ##Meanwhile, War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, combines a leaner promotional approach with ultra-targeted impact: The official teaser debuted on May 20, Jr NTR’s birthday—prompting mixed feedback, including criticism over low VFX quality and a controversial reference to “14 August,” which is Pakistan’s Independence Day. The full trailer delivered on July 25, aligning with the 25-year career milestones of both lead actors. The trailer swiftly amplified audience excitement, showing Hrithik and Jr NTR in ideological conflict against a backdrop of intense action. YRF appears to have kept Hrithik and Jr NTR apart during early promotions—delaying a face-to-face reveal, possibly to preserve the grandeur of their on-screen rivalry. Instead of weekly drops, key narrative moments (like the "spy oath" reveal) are used to deepen the Spy Universe’s connective tissue, appealing to more invested franchise viewers rather than mass, daily hype seekers. War 2’s promotion is compact, calculated, and message-driven.

Box Office: 'Saiyaara' Set To Enter 100 Crore Net Club In 4 Days After Phenomenal Hold On First Monday

Mumbai, July 21 - Yash Raj Films' romantic drama Saiyaara is breaching the 100 crores net mark sooner than expected after phenomenal hold on its first working day, Monday. The Mohit Suri directorial starring debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda is looking unstoppable after the historic first weekend. ## Saiyaara stays strong on first Monday ## After the front-loaded first weekend, there were doubts that Saiyaara might see a drop, but that is not the case here. The trend so far suggests that the film is coming very close to the opening day figures (21.25 crores net) as it eyes at least 20 crores collection today. ## At the moment, Saiyaara is looking at a negligible drop of around 5% today from Friday, and there might be no drop if the night shows remain solid. This is truly a historic box office trend, and with newcomers headlining it, it looks unimaginable. ## Saiyaara hits 100 crores net in 4 days ## After scoring 83.25 crores net collection in the first weekend (3 days), the romantic blockbuster will hit the 100 crores net mark in flat 4 days. The film is looking to be around 103+ crores net at the end of the day. It is said that YRF will go ahead with discounted prices on Tuesday, which means the first week is heading for 150 crores net. ## Stay tuned...

'Hera Pheri 3' Producers Take Legal Action Against Paresh Rawal

Mumbai, May 20 - The third instalment of the iconic Hera Pheri franchise has been the talk of the town for the last few days for the wrong reasons. While the fans were excited for the movie, veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who has been a big part of the franchise, shocked everyone by announcing his exit from the upcoming movie. ## It was reported that Rawal exited Hera Pheri 3 due to creative differences; however, he later clarified that his decision to exit the film is for some other reasons. It is said that the paperwork for the film was done, hence, Rawal's action came as a massive shock to the team. ## Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the producers of Hera Pheri 3 – Cape of Good Films have sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal claiming damages worth Rs 25 crore, for the amount invested in the film, that is now lost due to his unprofessional behaviour.## As per the report, "Cape of Good Films had procured the rights of Hera Pheri 3 from multiple stakeholders, and even repaid all the debts existing on the film. Paresh Rawal's unprofessional behaviour has cost a bomb to the film". ## "All the amounts invested by Cape of Good Films, to make a debt-free product, were done only after the OG trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty had agreed to be a part of the third Hera Pheri film. In fact, Hera Pheri 3 also went on floors as the team reunited to shoot for an extremely funny announcement video", the report further stated.## The makers have decided to consider Rawal's decision as unprofessional and uncalled for, and sent him a legal notice, demanding 25 crore to pay for the losses they have suffered due to his action. While the exact reason for his departure remains a mystery, he was reportedly paid in advance and paid more than his market value, as per his demand. ## The film will be directed by Priyadarshan and it is scheduled to go on floors by early 2026. ## Stay tuned...

We than Take a shift to what happened between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes last Friday on SmackDown. The music hits and here comes Cody Rhodes, he makes his way to the ring. ## Chicago Raw opened with Cody Rhodes addressing the crowd. He referenced Roman Reigns' comments on the Pat McAfee show, where Reigns called him a politician who makes empty promises.## Rhodes defended his record, claiming he keeps his promises to the fans, using lighthearted examples of attending a fan's wedding and birthday party. He then shifted to a more serious tone, acknowledging his respect for Reigns' abilities but expressing his hatred for the champion.## Rhodes accused Reigns of manipulating the situation to avoid a one-on-one match at WrestleMania. He emphasized his two Royal Rumble victories and appealed to the Chicago crowd for their support in his upcoming tag team match.## Suddenly, The Rock's music interrupted, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The two legends stared each other down, with chants of "CM Punk" echoing through the arena, a Chicago tradition.## The Rock approached Cody and whispered something in his ear, leaving the audience and Cody visibly confused. The Rock's interaction with Cody remained enigmatic as he exited the ring without further explanation.## The show continued with backstage segments featuring Ricochet, The Judgment Day, and a brief interview with The Rock by Jackie Redmond, where he refused to reveal what he said to Cody. ## JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio) vs Ricochet ## The match began with a clean break, but Ricochet's momentary distraction towards Dom allowed JD to strike from behind. JD controlled the early portion with strikes and a waist lock, but Ricochet fought back with elbows and a handspring back elbow.## Both wrestlers showcased impressive aerial maneuvers. Ricochet countered a moonsault attempt from JD and later landed a breathtaking shooting star press for a near fall. JD countered Ricochet's Detonation Kick with a Spanish Fly, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats.## The turning point came when Dom interfered, putting his foot on the ropes during Ricochet's Recoil attempt. Despite the underhanded tactics, Ricochet remained resilient. He countered JD's Devil Inside with a devastating Destroyer and capitalized on Dom's ejection by knocking JD off the top turnbuckle. Ricochet sealed the win with a picture-perfect shooting star crossbody. ## WINNER: Ricochet ## CM Punk ignited a verbal firestorm on Raw in Chicago, addressing his status and sparking confrontations with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.## Standing in the ring, Punk acknowledged the fans' curiosity about his potential role at WrestleMania. He mentioned various possibilities, including hosting, commentary, or refereeing. He also addressed comments by Roman Reigns, hinting at a future encounter.## This sparked a war of words with Drew McIntyre. Punk poked fun at McIntyre's attire and questioned his legitimacy as the "Chosen One." Drew countered by referencing Punk's past injuries and suggesting Punk craved a front-row seat to witness his WrestleMania glory.## The tension escalated with the arrival of Seth Rollins. Rollins mocked Punk and McIntyre for bickering while not being in the title picture. He suggested a poll to gauge the audience's opinion on Punk's commentary role but ultimately dismissed Punk as a non-factor.## In a surprising turn, Punk agreed to become a commentator at WrestleMania. He stated his intention to add excitement to the show, something he believes McIntyre and Rollins are incapable of on their own.## The exchange culminated in Rollins delivering a Black Out on McIntyre, further intensifying the animosity between the three wrestlers. ## Ivy Nile (with Maxxine Dupri) vs Candice LeRae (with Indi Hartwell) ## The match saw LeRae utilize aggression throughout. She landed a takedown and a kick in the corner early on, followed by a near fall after a delayed vertical suplex. However, LeRae's tactics became questionable as she repeatedly sent Nile out of the ring and argued with the referee. Indi Hartwell, LeRae's tag team partner, appeared hesitant to engage with Nile while she was down. LeRae even shoved Maxxine Dupri, ruining an attempted distraction from the ring apron. In the closing moments, LeRae capitalized on a distraction to roll Nile up for the pin. However, the advantage came with LeRae's feet clearly on the ropes for leverage, a move the referee seemingly missed. WINNER: Candice LeRae ## LeRae celebrated her victory while Nile expressed confusion over the dubious tactics employed during the match. This incident could further strain the already tense relationship between LeRae and her tag team partner, Indi Hartwell.## Meanwhile, a lighthearted exchange erupted between The New Day and the reunited team of Johnny Gargano and Ciampa. The wrestlers playfully jabbed at each other's team names, hinting at a potentially interesting dynamic in the upcoming tag team match at WrestleMania.## Adding to the excitement, R-Truth and The Miz interjected, expressing their belief that the match would be the best ever. The segment also referenced the upcoming New Day vs. D-Generation X match at WrestleMania, with Truth revealing he and The Miz will join JBL on commentary for the bout. ## Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano vs Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ## The match began with a technical display. Ciampa applied a side headlock on Kofi, who countered with a waist lock. The action went back and forth, with both teams showcasing impressive agility and teamwork. Kofi nearly secured a fall with a Fameasser, but Gargano managed to break the pin attempt.## After the commercial break, the intensity escalated as Ciampa unleashed a flurry of clotheslines on both Kofi and Woods. Johnny Gargano joined the offensive, showcasing impressive maneuvers like a Northern Lariat and an enzugiri on Woods.## The momentum appeared to be shifting towards Gargano & Ciampa as Johnny attempted a high-risk Asai DDT. However, the trajectory of the match took a sharp turn when The Judgment Day (members not mentioned in the provided excerpt) launched a surprise attack on all four wrestlers in the ring.## The referee, recognizing the escalating chaos, called for the disqualification. ## WINNER: No Contest ## Following a hard-fought Raw Tag Team Championship match, The Judgment Day set their sights on the defeated Ciampa and Gargano. Ciampa attempted to fight back, but the numbers game proved too much. The brutality continued as Dominik delivered a frog splash to Woods on the outside. Miz tried to intervene, but Priest quickly dispatched him with a choke slam. Truth, ever the opportunist, called for a commercial break from the commentary table, but his pleas were ignored.## The Judgment Day's assault continued as Priest dragged Truth into the ring. Truth valiantly fought back, even landing a punch on Finn Balor. However, Priest quickly regained control with a Razor's Edge. Balor then climbed to the top rope and delivered a Coup de Grace to a defenseless Truth.## Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviewed Cody Rhodes, seeking his reaction to his conversation with The Rock. While apologizing to everyone, Cody remained tight-lipped about the content of their exchange. He simply stated that it was a "promise" The Rock "cannot keep."## After a commercial break, Cathy Kelley interviewed Gunther regarding Sami Zayn's comments from last week. Gunther dismissed Zayn's challenge, claiming his opponent stormed off "like a child" after failing to secure a direct response. He downplayed Zayn's chances at Wrestlemania, suggesting both the audience and himself have doubts about Zayn's ability to prevail. Gunther further fueled the fire by expressing his belief that Zayn wouldn't even be able to defeat Bronson Reed. ## Andrade vs Giovanni Vinci ## Vinci taunts Andrade with a pie face, but Andrade retaliates with a chopping blow. Vinci responds with chops of his own. Andrade remains calm, clinging to the ropes to display his composure. Vinci attempts an Irish whip, but Andrade reverses it, sending Vinci to the ring apron. He throws Vinci back into the ring and attempts another moonsault, but Vinci dodges. Andrade lands on his feet and executes a signature move for a near fall. Andrade attempts a suplex, then transitions to a second one, but Vinci thwarts it. Despite the blocked suplex, Andrade lands gracefully on his feet. He throws a back elbow, but Vinci counters with a crossbody tackle. ## Upon returning, Andrade resumes his assault with chops. He blocks a kick from Vinci and retaliates with a series of leg whips followed by a flying forearm strike. He charges into the corner and delivers a double knee strike. Andrade pins Vinci for a near fall, but Vinci fights back with a clothesline. He attempts a powerbomb, but Andrade maneuvers out. Vinci lands a chop, but Andrade responds with a back elbow and delivers his finishing move, "The Message," for the pinfall victory. ## WINNER: Andrade ## Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley enters the ring with Dominik Mysterio by her side.## Rhea complains about a lack of respect and attention. She acknowledges Becky Lynch's fighting spirit and admits she could have attacked Becky during matches, but wanted to be respectful. With WrestleMania approaching, she asks Dominik if Becky should focus on her more.## Becky interrupts, returning to Chicago. She compliments Rhea's fresh appearance, highlighting it wasn't after a grueling match - something Rhea avoids. Rhea justifies not wrestling, claiming attention comes easily on social media. She believes champions don't need to prove themselves weekly.## Becky criticizes Rhea's self-centeredness. They disagree on what defines a champion. Rhea sees it as social media presence, while Becky prioritizes hard work in the ring. Becky warns Rhea that new stars will emerge, and true greatness lies in resilience and skill, not just initial hype. She promises to show Rhea a new experience at WrestleMania.## Rhea acknowledges Becky's experience and survival skills, calling her a cockroach - tough but not invincible. Rhea plans to keep Becky alive to witness her reign and Dominik calling her "mummy."## Becky warns Rhea not to mention her daughter again. She reveals her father never met his granddaughter, and her pride lies in motherhood, not just in-ring achievements. Rhea's mockery offends Becky, who clarifies there was no respect behind not attacking. Once the fight starts, there's no turning back. ## The confrontation escalates. Dom pulls Rhea back, but she retaliates with a kick, sending Becky shoulder-first into the ring post. Rhea checks on Dom before leaving, but Becky attacks her from behind. They trade punches, with Rhea landing a kick and sending Becky into the ring post.## Elsewhere, Sami Zayn encounters Chad Gable talking to Maxxine Dupri. Chad seeks a rematch to prove Gunther wrong. I don't like you. I think he's stupid. I think you're a hypocrite. I think you said a lot of dumb things in the last few weeks. But I came out here to admit one thing you said is absolutely correct. And I wanted to admit it to your face. I wanted to do it right here in Raleigh, in front of all these fine folks.## They always say the first step on the road to recovery is the hardest. So if you'll bear with me, please, I've been working on this. It's gonna be difficult for me but my name is Seth freaking Rollins. And I'm I'm a spotlight junkie." ## Drew McIntyre: "Everything is just the joke to you as you become an authority of yourself at this point, but honestly, I just don't care but the BS anymore says I'm trying to reason what you have gave the answers at this point. I literally only care about our match and the world title you want to know the punch line funny man. Well, you guys you do every time you say what it means you're happier to coach CM Punk. Thanks for remembering the punch line funny mountains when I beat you for that title of WrestleMania ## Don't be ridiculous, CM Punk will be here next week. He would never show up in somewhere like Raleigh you hear that? pomp? They're booing you, but it's true. You're gonna leave your couch in Chicago to justify a seat it got your attention."## Seth Rollins: "Yeah, you got my attention. All right, you know, because this isn't a joke to me. When I said I was an addict when I said I was a spotlight junkie. It wasn't a joke to me. You see, I've been doing this for 20 years. 20 years, just like you and every single time I come out of that curtain. That's my fixed fan. And it gets better and better and better every single time. When I come out here, I lay it on the line in this way. It gets better and better every single time when I hear these people sing my song so loud I can barely speak. ## That's the spotlight I crave. And you know what? I want the spotlight as bright as it can possibly be. So look, I know you're getting busy online, trying to entertain the people on Twitter making memes. You're really gonna listen to what I'm telling you. Shall we get this through your thick skull? They didn't want to WrestleMania I take the biggest star in Hollywood and his side chick and I'm making my pitches and that night to the biggest spotlight possible will be shining down on you and me in the World Heavyweight Championship."## Drew says all hail our savior, thank you very much. He had me that's what I want. I want that passion. I don't want to the stupid outfits. I don't want to laugh and I don't want to dance and I want the passion. You had me all the way to the finish. You've done this for 20 years just to go I've done this for 20 years we've gave our life to this industry. And that's your beat this title. All about the wrestlers title, the real wrestlers title, the workhorse championship until you mentioned the bid spotlight. And the reason we're gonna get it is because you could have been one of the biggest stars in the world. Why can't it just be because of all your hard work to make that title and all of my hard work to get to this point? Why can't that be the reason we're getting the biggest spotlight the priorities are all wrong man. You got it backwards. I'm gonna give you the answers. Honestly, I don't care all the BS and now all I care about is you make it to the ring at night to a WrestleMania and if you can't walk will you doubt the count will you don't I will carry you down because at WrestleMania I'm not gonna get the moment I am gonna get the moment I have bloody earned it. ## Seth Rollins: "That's right. You want to call me a spotlight junkie. But you want the spotlight just as bad as I do, don't you? You're an addict just like I am. And you've been begging for spotlight for the past four years because you won the WrestleMania main event you did back in 2020 in an empty warehouse. And all we've been hearing from Drew McIntyre for the past four years was how that wasn't good enough. You've been whining and complaining and bitching and moaning that you deserve better than you deserve more. The problem is true. When everybody came back around, and the lights got bright again. What happened? You fumble the ball. And that's the difference between you and me. When the lights are the brightest. I shine then I shine bright. ## At WrestleMania 40, lights are going to be as bright as they have ever been. You are going to find out you're not as good as you." ## The camera shifts to backstage where we see Becky Lynch cutting a promo. ## Becky Lynch: "We're less than three weeks away from Wrestlemania.
