Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' Scripts Historic Opening Day
Mumbai, January 26 - King Khan returns with Bang!## Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Pathaan starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan has shattered all the box office records for a Bollywood film and created history. Siddharth Anand's directorial scored a mammoth 57 crores net, including 55 crores in Hindi alone on the first day. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" scored the biggest-ever opening day not for just the Bollywood but also for a Hindi language film. It has outshined "KGF 2" (53.95 Cr) to emerge as the biggest Hindi opener. "War" was the previous record holder for Bollywood with 51.60 crores net. ## "Pathaan" has also emerged as the first 50+ crores starter for Shah Rukh Khan as well as John Abraham and Deepika Padukone while it is the second 50+ crore opener for director Siddharth Anand after "War". "Pathaan" is also the biggest Bollywood opener in the true sense for all languages with a domestic gross collection of approx. 68 crores, beating "Thugs of Hindostan" which gross approx. 67 crores. ## After the historic first day, "Pathaan" is heading towards delivering the first ever 60+ crores day for Bollywood as it is trending better on the second day than the opening day due to the national holiday of Republic Day.
