Underfire Naga Vamsi Gives Clarification For His Remarks On Bollywood

Hyderabad, January 7 - Telugu film producer Naga Vamsi came under heavy criticism from Bollywood filmmakers for his comment about Hindi films catering to Bandra and Juhu audiences. His remarks were seen as an insult to the Hindi film industry which has delivered many big blockbusters in recent times. ## After enduring sharp criticism, the Daaku Maharaaj producer has clarified the issue and said in a recent interview with Telugu360 that he never intended to disrespect Bollywood or veteran filmmaker Boney Kapoor with whom he indulged in an argument during the recent roundtable interaction. ## Naga Vamsi explained that his remarks stemmed from pride in the achievements of the South Indian film industry, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Producer Boney Kapoor Shares Update On Mr. India 2

Mumbai, April 1 - Anil Kapoor-fronted Mr. India (1987) is one of the most iconic Bollywood films. Directed by Sekhar Kapoor, the movie also starred the late actors Amrish Puri, Sridevi, and Satish Kaushik among others and it went on to become a huge success. ## Over the years, Mr. India gained cult status and there have been frequent calls for its sequel. The Lead Cast and Director of The Hindi Remake of Tamil Blockbuster 'Love Today' Revealed

Mumbai, May 24 - One of the biggest Tamil hits of the last year, romantic-drama Love Today is getting a Hindi remake. The Hindi filmmakers continue to invest in remakes despite the fact that most of them are not performing well. ## It was recently revealed that Phantom Studios in association with "Love Today" original producers AGS Entertainment will be producing the Bollywood remake. Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have locked the lead star cast and director for the same. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, superstar Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, have been locked in to headline the "Love Today" remake. "Laal Singh Chaddha" director Advait Chandan has been brought on board to helm the Hindi version. ## "The movie is an entertaining look at love in today's technologically advanced world and has very well been adapted for Hindi-speaking audiences. Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' Teaser Scores 2nd Most Views On YouTube In The First 24-Hours In Hindi

Mumbai, April 1 - Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is gearing up for its worldwide release on June 23rd in multiple languages. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962). It stars Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, and Gajraj Rao with music composed by legendary AR Rahman.## Meanwhile, the teaser of "Maidaan" was first released on March 30 with Devgn's "Bholaa" in theaters before it was launched online later in the day. The 1-minute and 30 seconds teaser showed a glimpse into a football match between India and Yugoslavia in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics in which Indian players played barefoot. ## The teaser is filled with a bunch of training montages, some stunning goals in slow-motion, a glimpse of the attacks the team faced, the turmoils Rahim faced, and some electrifying pep talks by Devgn. Mumbai, March 7 - Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-fronted romantic-comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which is releasing tomorrow (March 8), is seeing a good response in the pre-booking which was the case with the recent Bollywood movies this year. ## The Luv Ranjan's directorial has sold over 100K tickets for the opening day and there are still some hours left for the first show to begin. The advance booking of TJMM started only three days before the release on March 5 which is proving to be a good move. Though the pre-booking for the movie is not high flying but good enough for a decent to good start at the box office. ## The advance booking of TJMM is the second best for a Bollywood movie in 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which sold over 1 million tickets for the opening day in advance booking. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, March 7 - Director Luv Ranjan's first film in 4 years, romantic-comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is finally hitting theaters worldwide tomorrow (March 8), more than 3 years after it was first announced in 2019.## Ranjan's last directorial, "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" was a blockbuster so the expectations are high from TJMM which carries bigger star power. Though a lot has changed over the last few years, TJMM is seeing a better response in the advance booking than the previous few Bollywood movies this year, also than the SKTKS. ## Produced by T-Series and Luv Films, TJMM has sold approx. 84K tickets worth approx. 2.50 crores as of 7 PM on March 7 for the opening day. The advances for the first day are expected to finish over 100K tickets, the second biggest for a Bollywood movie in 2023. ## Looking at the advance booking response, TJMM is looking to take a double-digit start as the opening day could be somewhere around 10-13 crores net, which is a much better start than Ranjan's SKTKS which opened at 6.42 crores net and went to score approx. 109 crores lifetime net collection. ## TJMM is releasing on Wednesday, coinciding with Holi weekend. The Morning shows might see a slow start on the opening day due to the festival but the rest of the day will behave like a holiday. Last year, Akshay Kumar's "Bachchhan Paandey" opened at 13.25 crores on Holi, and TJMM is expected to open in a similar range.
