The movie was originally scheduled to release a week earlier, but was postponed at the 11th hour due to financial hurdles. The first movie, released in 2021, was a big blockbuster and also marked NBK's entry into the 100 crores club. After the big success of Akhanda, Balakrishna hasn't put a foot wrong, and now, the stakes for Akhanda 2 are higher than before. The makers are going all out to promote the film nationwide as they anticipate it to turn a money spinner for them.
