Box Office: 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' Re-Release Mints Over 2.25 Crore Gross In The First Week
Mumbai, November 22 - One of the Bollywood classics from Yash Raj Films, Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta, continues to spread magic even after more than 2 decades later.## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the romantic comedy was re-released on November 15, continuing the trend Bollywood has successfully followed throughout this year. The film opened around 12 lakh gross collection from a little over 100 shows before the shows increased from the second day onwards.## Footfalls significantly increased after more shows were added as the movie grossed approximately 90 lakh in the first weekend. The nostalgia factor and popularity among the audiences continued to play its role after the weekend as the Monday collection was almost the same as Saturday. ## The movie grossed approximately 1.50 crores from Monday to Thursday with a positive trend during the weekdays. The total first-week collection was approximately 2.40 crores gross (2.10 crores net), which is higher than some of the recent Bollywood re-release films. ## There is one more Shah Rukh Khan film re-releasing this week in the form of cult classic Karan Arjun, also starring Salman Khan, so it will be more about re-experiencing those classics rather than the box office. On the popularity and demand, Karan Arjun is expected to have a very good outing and chances are that it might score the biggest first weekend for a Bollywood re-release which needs to be seen.## Stay tuned...
