Mumbai, April 20, 2021: Coming as a major move in India's fight against the covid-19 pandemic, the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that everyone above 18 years of age will be eligible to get the covid-19 vaccine from May 1st. ## Until now, the vaccine jab was available for people above 45 years of age and front-line workers. Amid the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued new guidelines for shooting, pre-production, and post-production work in Maharashtra.## A statement issued by FWICE reads, "The office-bearers of FWICE had a Zoom meeting with the honorable Chief Minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray. The FWICE has assured the CM that the industry will be responsible where the SOPs of the COVID guidelines are concerned. FWICE in coordination with experts has laid down guidelines that all people involved in pre-production, shooting, and post-production work will have to adhere to. Please note that none of the below guidelines are up for negotiation. These guidelines as of now will be applicable till 30 April 2021".## 1. The shooting of crowd sequences and songs with dancers in large numbers will not be allowed.## 2. Wearing masks and continuous sanitization is a must on the sets, in production offices, and in post-production studios.## 3. A FWICE monitoring team has been constituted. They will be visiting sets and post-production studios to constantly check upon that all guidelines are being adhered. In case of flouting of any rule by an individual, they shall be liable for the strictest disciplinary action by the FWICE.## 4. Any individual or production creating any kind of hindrance in the path of the adherence of the guidelines, will be dealt with strictly.## "The production offices and post-production offices will be functional as we have been allowed by the government to complete our work so that shows and films can be aired".## The notice further mentions that a complete lockdown will be followed from Friday 8 pm to Monday 7 am, and shooting, setting, pre-production, or post-production activities should be avoided during this period. After Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) filed a complaint against Gauhar Khan, the actress seems to have invited more trouble as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), an umbrella body of over 32 film industry unions, on Tuesday issued a non-cooperative directive against Khan for allegedly flouting quarantine rules after testing positive for the coronavirus, the Scroll.in reported. ## According to the notice against Khan, FWICE has asked all Indian cinema associations linked to the federation to "distance themselves" from Gauhar for the next two months till a fresh directive was issued, permitting her to resume work in the industry.## In a press release on Tuesday, the Cine body "highly condemned" the actress's alleged actions, and said it was "indeed a serious offense". It said that the actor had not only breached the rules issued by the central and the state government but had also endangered the lives of the entire crew members who were working with her on the shoot.## "Such ignorance will not be tolerated by the FWICE and it thanks the BMC and Mumbai Police for the FIR lodged against Ms Gauahar Khan, actress Mumbai for her inhuman, disrespectful act towards the other crew members as well as the government", the union added.## "Any members if found cooperating with Ms Gauahar Khan shall also be liable for stringent disciplinary action by the FWICE", it added.## FWICE President BN Tiwari told The Indian Express (according to Scroll.in) that because of Khan's unprofessional, non-cooperative and irresponsible actions, the whole cast and crew from the project she was shooting for will have to be quarantined and work will be halted.## Stay tuned...
