'The Batman 2' Release Date Postponed By A Year; A New Date Is Locked

Los Angeles, March 13 - Robert Pattinson-led The Batman Part II release date has been postponed by a year and it will now be debuting in theatres in 2026. ## The sequel to director Matt Reeves' superhero movie The Batman was first announced during CinemaCon in April 2022 and in January 2023, the movie was officially scheduled for October 2025 release and has now been pushed back to October 2, 2026. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, the delay in the film was caused by the writers' strike last year. It is said that the script of the sequel is far from being ready and the movie will only go on floors by early 2025. ## The Batman, which is a reboot of the Batman film franchise, was released in March 2022 and enjoyed a very good run at the box office. The movie scored the second biggest opening at the North American box office post the covid-19 pandemic with $134 million and went on to gross over $770 million globally. ## It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman alongside Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. ## Stay tuned...

Golden Globe Awards 2023: Complete Winners List

California, January 11 - The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on January 10 at the Beverly Hilton. The awards are accolades bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television. ## At this year's Golden Globe Awards, SS Rajamouli's "RRR" was nominated in two categories - Best Non-English Film and Best Original Song. While "RRR" missed out on the Best Non-English Film category, it created history by winning the Best Original Song award for the song "Naatu Naatu", composed by MM Keeravaani and penned by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. The superhero film, based on DC Comics, has stormed past $600 million at the worldwide box office, becoming only the 4th Non-Chinese movie to achieve the feat during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The Matt Reeves-directed was released on the March 1st weekend worldwide and has been unstoppable since then at the box office. Mumbai, March 18 - The worldwide audience likes comic book movies, and "The Batman" is the latest example of that. The DC superhero movie, starring Robert Pattinson in the title role, has soared past $500 million worldwide, becoming the second 2022 title to reach the figure after China's "Water Gate Bridge" ($632M). ## The Matt Reeves-directed started the international rollout in Korea on March 1 ahead of the domestic (North America) debut on March 4. Los Angeles, March 6 - Robert Pattinson's debut as Caped Crusader ignited domestic box office as "The Batman" scored a mighty $134 million over the opening weekend, making the best opening weekend of 2022 and the 2nd biggest during the entire covid-19 pandemic. ## The Matt Reeves-directed is nearly two and a half times bigger than the second-best 2022's movie Sony's "Uncharted", which grossed $44 million in the opening weekend in February. Interestingly and very promisingly, "The Batman" is only the second non-Chinese movie during the pandemic to cross the $100 million mark in a single weekend, after "Spider-Man: No Way Home's" historic $260 million in December 2021. ## The DC superhero movie has the widest domestic release in over 4417 theaters during the pandemic.
