Chennai, July 8 - The trailer of Chiyaan Vikram's period action drama film Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith, will be released on July 10, Wednesday, the makers announced on Monday. ## As one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year, Thangalaan has been in production since October 2022. Hyderabad, June 17 - The Independence Day 2024 weekend was buzzing with a high-profile box office clash between India's two of the most anticipated films, Pushpa 2 - The Rule and Singham Again, however, as things stand today, both the movies have been postponed, leaving the weekend for other movies to cash on. ## While Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn have locked the Diwali release for Singham 3, Allu Arjun-fronted Pushpa 2 makers finalized the December 6, 2024, release date worldwide. The team was also looking to lock December 20 but went earlier to avoid a clash with Aamir Khan-fronted Sitaare Zameen Par which is scheduled to release along with Hollywood biggie Mufasa: The Lion King on Dec. 20. ## Interestingly, Pushpa - The Rise was also released on December (17) 2021 and now, the sequel is also to be released in the same month.## Pushpa 2 is directed by Sukumar who also produced it under his banner Sukumar Writings with Mythri Movie Makers. Hyderabad, September 18 - Superstar Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's action drama film Pushpa - The Rise will soon be released in Russia in the local Russian languages. ## "Pushpa - The Rise" was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 and grossed over 360 crores worldwide. It became a huge hit in the dubbed Hindi version and the makers are giving an extra touch to its sequel to make it a true Pan-Indian film. ## Meanwhile, director Sukumar said that the first part of the movie has been dubbed and will soon be released in Russia. The film was released internationally along with the domestic release in December last year and it will now be released in Russia in the local language. ## The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media, depicts the rise of a coolie in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state. ## "Pushpa" won 7 awards in SIIMA 2022, including the Best Actor for Allu Arjun.
