Box Office: 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein' Re-Release Score 1 Crore Net In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, September 2 - The re-release factor has been working well at the box office for the classic Bollywood hits for the last few months. After Rockstar and Laila Majnu, it's now turn for R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan-led love story Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which is turning out to be a success story at the box office. ## Directed by Gautham Menon, RHTDM was re-released on August 30 and did well at the box office, grossing approximately 1.20 crore (1 crore net) in its opening weekend. It scored approximately 20 lakh gross on its first day (Friday), before jumping by over 100% for approx. 45 lakh on Saturday and another 60 lakh gross on Sunday.## It now needs to see how the fair during the weekdays, which will determine how far it will go at the box office. The last couple of Bollywood re-releases did well beyond opening weekends and since RHTDM has been a popular film over the years on television, there is a chance it will repeat the success of those movies to reach a respectable total. ## RHTDM, which is a remake of the popular Tamil film Minnell, was originally released in 2001 and did decently at the box office with a worldwide gross collection of over 10 crores. The movie, however, gained popularity on television with immense repeat value over the years which is reflected in its re-release opening weekend. ##

Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's Much-Awaited 'Dunki' To Have Two Teasers?

Mumbai, October 30 - After delivering two back-to-back all-time blockbusters in the form of Pathaan and Jawan, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next potential blockbuster Dunki. The social comedy-drama film is directed by maverick Rajkumar Hirani and this marks his maiden collaboration with SRK.## "Dunki" is scheduled to release during the Christmas weekend this year, possibly on December 21st worldwide, the makers are gearing up to kickstart promotion by launching a teaser on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday on November 2nd. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan will watch the teaser with his fans in Mumbai. ## It is revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified two teasers of "Dunki" with a clean U certificate. The first teaser is said to be 58 seconds long while the second teaser is 1 minute and 49 seconds long. ## It is not known yet which teaser will be released on November 2nd, however, rumours are rife that the makers will launch both teasers. The second teaser will reportedly be released around Diwali, however, there is no confirmed report about the same or it is possible that the makers likely release just one teaser. ## Based on the concept of "Donkey Flight", an unlawful backdoor entry technique for nations like the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States of America, Dunki depicts the lives of Indians who choose to enter the nation using this illegal process and struggle to return home. ## The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with Rajkumar Hirani Films and Jio Studios. Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' To Release A Day Early In International Markets

Mumbai, September 26 - The first-time collaboration of two of the most powerful forces of Indian cinema, superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani for a comedy-drama Dunki, is creating a lot of buzz among the audiences as well as the trade. ## "Dunki", which is based on illegal immigration, is currently in the post-production work as it is scheduled to be released on December 22 in the domestic market. Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, the movie will be hitting cinemas a day early in the international markets according to a well-planned statrgy by the makers.## It is said that the makers are proceeding with the full-fledged release on December 21 in the entire international markets to get the benefit of the extended Christmas holiday period. The idea is to maximize word of mouth and get the audience excited for the conventional weekend from Friday to Sunday. Yash Raj Films will distribute the movie in overseas markets.## The report further revealed that "Dunki" has been confirmed for Christmas release. The test screening of the movie has already taken place and it met with overwhelming responses. Meanwhile, superstar Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel's "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire" is also releasing on December 22nd and the official announcement for the same is expected to be made on September 29th.## "Dunki" is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films.
