Mumbai, September 19, 2021: Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry. From the beginning of his career to become the superstar, Salman's 33-years of journey in the film industry has nothing been short of a rollercoaster ride, in which he has had his share of ups and downs. ## While the fans of Salman will see plenty of films of him in the future, a docu-series on the actor is also in the making and it has reportedly been titled "Beyond The Star - Salman Khan". To chronicle Salman's journey to stardom and also give a glimpse to the audience about the lesser-known facts of the actor, SKF Films in association with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment are producing the series. ## According to Pinkvilla, "All the key stakeholders of Salman's career – right from family to his co-stars, directors, and producers – will be a part of this docu-series. The prep work has already begun and the interviews with Salman's colleagues will be done in the coming few months". ## It is reported that the producers are in talks with an OTT platform for the premiere of the series. Meanwhile, a documentary is being made on Salman's father, the celebrated writer Salim Khan and his partnership with the legendary, Javed Akhtar. The Salim – Javed story is being conceptualized by Farhan and Zoya Akhtar with Salman for Netflix. ## Apart from the documentary series, Salman will next be seen in "Antim - The Final Truth", in which he plays a Sikh cop while his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma plays a gangster. The shooting of the film is completed and is expected to release later this year. ## Salman is currently shooting for YRF's "Tiger 3" in Austria with Katrina Kaif in the lead. Mumbai, September 17, 2021: A multi-season web series on the life of fugitive diamond mogul, Nirav Modi is in development. The production company acquired the rights of senior investigative journalist Pavan C. Lall's book "Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India's Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi", which will be adapted into a dramatized, multi-season series.## The scripting of the series is currently underway and a set of exciting creative talent is being attached to the project.## Excited about lending rights of his book for the digital series, Pavan C. Los Angeles, September 14, 2021: While fans around the world are waiting for Warner Bros' upcoming DC superhero movie "The Batman", the company's streamer platform HBO Max is developing a series about The Penguin that will be a spinoff of "The Batman" feature film. ## The series is in the early development with Lauren LeFranc is reportedly attached to write the script for the project. Colin Farrell, who plays the notorious supervillain in Robert Pattinson-led "The Batman", has also been approached to star in the spinoff series, according to variety. ## The show, which is yet to be confirmed, would supposedly delve into The Penguin aka Oswald Oz Cobblepot's rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld. On the live-action side, the character has previously been played by actors like Burgess Meredith in the 1992 film "Batman Returns", Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor in the TV series "Gotham".## Interestingly, Penguin would be the second spinoff series from "The Batman" feature at HBO Max. The streamer is already working on police procedural spin-off series, set within the Gotham Police Department. It is part of WarnerMedia’s attempt to launch a new interconnected Batman universe across all of its platforms.## Meanwhile, "The Batman" feature film is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2022 after being delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. Mumbai, September 13, 2021: Marvel Studios' popular and critically acclaimed superhero series, "WandaVision", which premiered on Disney Plus, scored big at the 2021 Creative Arts Emmys, presented across three ceremonies over Saturday and Sunday. ## WandaVision, which focuses on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), won three Emmy awards including Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Production Design, and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for 'Agatha All Along'. This is the first-ever victory for Marvel Studios at the Emmys. ## WandaVision had also earned 23 Emmy nominations, making it the highest for a limited series and second-highest for a series, overall. Meanwhile, Netflix's chess-themed drama show "The Queen's Gambit" topped with 9 awards followed by "The Mandalorian" with seven Emmys. ## Another Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan was nominated for five Emmy awards. However, the show did not manage to pick up a trophy. In terms of company and platform totals from the awards handed out over all three ceremonies, Netflix leads with a total of 34 wins, followed by 13 for Disney+ and 10 for HBO/HBO Max.## Marvel Studios, which has always focussed on the big screen experience, is slowly getting into the award season. Hyderabad, September 10, 2021: Telugu movie "Tuck Jagadish" was one of the films that were put on hold for a long time to give it a theatrical release. However, the prevailing covid-19 situation and restrictions on theaters forced the makers of this Nani starrer to go for the direct OTT release via Amazon Prime Video on September 10. ## The decision of taking the OTT route create a rift between the theater owners and Nani. While Nani maintained a dignified silence on the film's release, one of the members of the Telangana Cinema Theaters Association reportedly passed disparaging comments on Nani at a meeting organized by the association. Hyderabad, August 27, 2021: Telugu actor Nani's upcoming actioner "Tuck Jagadish" succumbed to the direct-to-digital release. The movie, which was earlier announced for theatrical release, will now directly premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 10, due to the covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on theaters in Andhra Pradesh. ## Tuck Jagadish is Nani's second back-to-back digital release. Earlier, his action thriller film, "V" also opted for OTT release last year on Prime Video. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Tuck Jagadish also stars Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles. Chennai, August 25, 2021: South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni made her Hindi debut with Raj & DK's web series, The Family Man 2. While the actress received global appreciation for her act, she also came under serious criticism for portraying a Tamil rebellion called Razi in the Amazon Prime Video series. ## The Tamil Nadu government had urged the Centre to ban the show after the trailer was released. Tamil Nadu's IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj had written a letter that said that the series "not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu". The actress faced accusations for negatively portraying the Tamil Eelam.## However, after the show was released, many people changed their mind and appreciate Samantha for playing that role. But she is continuing to receive criticism from a certain group of people which led the actress to apologizes to them for unintentionally hurting their sentiments. ## Without addressing the topic herself but responding to the criticism, the Majili actress said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "I allow people to have their own opinions. If they decided to stay with that opinion, I am very sorry for hurting anyone's sentiments. I sincerely apologize as it was not something I intended on doing at all". ## "I did not mean to hurt anyone. So, if I did, I am extremely sorry. I am glad that, though, once the show did release, a lot of the noise stopped. I guess some saw it wasn't so bad after all. Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring as the female lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish is playing a matchmaker while Tamannah essays the role of a divorce lawyer.
