2nd October has become a historic day for Indian cinema at the box office. Two of the most awaited films of the year 2019, War and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy create havoc on the first day as both the movies collected 115.35 Cr. (War 53.35, Sye Raa 62) India net in all languages. Sye Raa collected most of from South region while War was all over India despite the fewer screening as compared to Sye Raa in South.## On 2nd October, the net collection was 130+ in India. Apart from War and Sye Raa, Hollywood film 'Joker' also had a good day in India as it collected around 7 Cr. Dream Girl, Chhichhore, and Bangali film 'Gumnaami' also had a fair amount of day as these movies collected around 3 Cr. India net. The collection got a boost by some of the other films such as Kaappaan, and Namma Veetu Pillai which earned around 2 Cr.## It is the only second time in the history of India, that movies collection crosses 100 Cr. in a single day. Earlier, In the time of Baahubali The Conclusion release, the collection was around 125 Cr. India net on a single day which was the highest at that time. War has had an exceptional first day at the box office and earned INR 53.35 Cr. (all languages). Though the booking had already ensured the huge opening day, as this movie had 32.50 Cr [Hindi 32 Cr.]. booking collection. The occupancy was mindblowing throughout the opening day, and nearly 85% shows were full.## It is a festival month, and it can't get a better start than this. From North to South and East to West, War performed brilliantly in every region. It was expected that the War would be affected because of the Multi Starrar Tollywood film 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' in the South Region, but it wasn't like that as occupancy was above 90% in this region.## The occupancy got a boost from some of the key cities in the South, such as Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Vizag-Visakhapatnam, and Chennai, which had above 90% occupancy. However, War got fewer shows as compared to Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in this part; still, the craze for this action thriller was sky high on the first day.## Among the main cities, Ahmedabad and Surat had the lowest occupancy, which was around 50%. Healy, who became the first player to play 100 T20Is as a pure wicketkeeper in women's cricket, scored her century off just 46 balls to down Sri Lanka.## West Indies' hard-hitter batter, Deandra Dottin holds the record of the fastest hundred in women's T20Is which she scored against South Africa in 2010 which was also the first hundred in women's T20I cricket. The advance booking has ensured the movie to set the box office on fire on the first day.
