Mumbai, May 18 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has wrapped up shooting for director Priyadarshan's horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films and Wide Angle Creations. ## Akshay shared a video clip which features him and actress Wamiqa Gabbi while filming for a song and announced the wrap on the film. ## "And that's a wrap on #BhoothBangla! Shraddha Kapoor Gets A Huge Paycheque For Her Next Film With Ekta Kapoor

Mumbai, May 3 - Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is in red-hot demand after scoring one of the biggest Indian blockbusters in Stree 2 last year. The actress has been flooded with offers by many filmmakers, and reportedly, she has signed on for a female-led film with producer Ekta Kapoor. ## The film in question is said to be a high-concept thriller, to be directed by the director of Tumbbad fame, Rahi Anil Barve. According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, Shraddha has received Rs. 17 crore remuneration for her next film with Ekta. ## Apart from the upfront fees, the actress has also got a profit-sharing clause added in her agreement and will be getting a certain percentage of share in the profits post the film's release. This is among the highest remunerations for a female actor in Indian cinema. ## It is said that Ekta Kapoor was more than happy to splurge Rs. 17 crore + profit share to sign Shraddha Kapoor, as the Rahi Anil Barve film will be the actress' follow-up to the highest-grossing film of Hindi Cinema, Stree 2. ## The yet untitled film is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in the second half of the year. Shraddha Kapoor Finalizes Her Next Film After Mega Blockbuster 'Stree 2'

Mumbai, April 3 - Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is upping the ante after delivering one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema history in the form of horror-comedy Stree 2. The actress is reportedly being flooded with scripts, and she has reportedly finalized a couple of films as the follow-up to Stree 2. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Shraddha has been offered films by T Series, Dharma Productions, and Excel Entertainment, among others. While the actress has shown interest in some of the films, she is reportedly teaming up with Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve for a unique high-concept thriller.## The yet untitled film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor, who has been discussing multiple scripts with Shraddha, and they have zeroed in on the script developed by Rahi Anil Barve. The script is locked and the actress was bowled over by the uniqueness that Rahi's story has to offer. ## It is said that the director will take around 3-4 months in pre-production, and the makers aim to start shooting by July/August 2025. It is expected to be Shraddha's immediate next after Stree 2, which was released in August 2024 and went on gross over 850 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Shraddha already has Stree 3 in the pipeline, but the report says that she will do at least 2 films before starting this Maddock Films' tentpole. Shahid Kapoor's 'Udta Punjab 2' Is In Development

Mumbai, March 6 - The 2016 crime drama Udta Punjab starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh is getting a sequel. The project is currently in the writing phase with production slated to begin next year. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Ekta Kapoor has roped in Aakash Kaushik to write and direct Udta Punjab 2. Although the casting for the film will commence after the compilation of the script, Ekta is keen on bringing Shahid Kapoor back in the lead role.## The filmmaker reportedly briefly discussed the film with Shahid and the formal talks will happen soon. "The sequel will apparently feature a new storyline, with its only connection to the original being Punjab’s drug crisis", says the report.## Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab is a hard-hitting crime drama, deep-rooted to Punjab's drug crisis and its links to politics. Box Office: 'Laila Majnu' Re-Release Scores Very Good Opening Weekend

Mumbai, August 12 - Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri's romantic drama Laila Majnu was recently re-released amid the growing trend and to everyone's surprise, the movie has been doing fantastically at the box office unlike its original run back in 2018.## The Ekta Kapoor-produced heartbreaking tale of romance went unnoticed when it was first released in 2018 and grossed just a little over 3 crores at the Indian box office. However, the film's popularity grew over the years and it found appreciation among the audiences, thanks to television and OTT platforms.## In the 3-day opening weekend of its re-release, Laila Majnu grossed approximately 2.15 crores which is higher than the first weekend of its original run. The movie started with approximately 25 lakh net collection before jumping by 200% on Saturday to 75 lakh net. On Sunday, the movie crossed the 1 crore gross mark, to around 1.15 crores. ## This is the first instance in recent times that a Bollywood re-release has touched the 1 crore mark in a single day at the domestic box office. It will be interesting to see how the movie trends during the weekdays, also it is running out of time in its pursuit to top its original run as there are multiple big releases scheduled from August 15. ## The movie, however, can take inspiration from Ranbir Kapoor's recently re-released Rockstar which grossed over 10 crores in India.
