Mumbai, October 13 - One of the biggest Telugu blockbusters of the year, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, is reportedly getting ready to be remade in Hindi with superstar Akshay Kumar. Originally directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh Daggubati, the action comedy was released in January 2025 and went on to gross over 250 crores worldwide. According to the recent reports, producer Dil Raju, who backed the original film, will be producing the Hindi remake. He has reportedly locked Anees Bazmee to direct the remake, marking the filmmaker's reunion with Akshay after 17 years, since the release of Singh Is Kinng (2008). Mumbai, October 13 - The sequel to No Entry (2005) has been in the news for a long time. Anees Bazmee, who directed the original film, will be helming the sequel, which was supposed to be headlined by Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. However, over the last few weeks, there have been rumours that the comedy film might have undergone a complete cast reshuffle. It was reported that Diljit Dosanjh has exited the movie due to other commitments, while rumours also surfaced online that Varun is also considering dropping the much-awaited film. It was reported that No Entry 2 is set to be shelved due to the exit of the main actors. Now, producer Boney Kapoor has addressed all the rumours surrounding his upcoming film. In a major relief to the fans, the filmmaker confirmed that the sequel, tentatively titled No Entry Mein Entry, is well on track, denying the rumours of the film getting shelved. In a recent interview, the producer confirmed that Varun Dhawan has not exited the project, stating, "We are making No Entry Mein Entry, and Varun and Arjun are very much in the film. We are in active discussions to lock our other hero and the rest of the cast". The sequel will reportedly feature ten heroines and be produced on a grand scale. Kochi, October 24 - Kalyani Priyadarshan's superhero spectacle Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is all set to make its digital debut, after creating history at the box office. The makers have been kind enough to give the film an extended theatrical run, which is very rare for a South Indian title in current times. Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, Lokah released in theatres on August 28, 2025, and has since gone on to create history at the box office. The visually grand fantasy-action film has grossed over 300 crores worldwide, becoming the first Malayalam film ever to achieve this milestone. Mumbai, October 13 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken a sarcastic dig at director AR Murugadoss, who made wild excuses for the failure of Sikandar. The action drama, which marked Salman's first collaboration with ARM, was released earlier this year and bombed at the box office. During the recent interview, ARM said that it was difficult for him to work on the film as he seemingly accused the superstar of reporting late to the sets. Though ARM also said that Salman used to come at 8 PM due to the security threat, his remarks didn't go well with the actor. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Big Boss 19, Salman responded to the criticism with his trademark wit. "I used to reach the set at 9 PM, but my ribs were fractured." In a sarcastic tone, Salman added, "Hamare director sahab bolte the aisa, lekin unki picture (Madharaasi) jo abhi release hui hai, uske actor to 6 baje pahuchte the. Wo Sikandar se bhi badi blockbuster hai". Salman also stated that both producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Murugadoss distanced themselves from Sikandar after its box-office failure. The period folk action thriller has stormed past the 500 crores milestone domestically and 600 crores worldwide through the second weekend, becoming only the second film of the year to do so. Written, directed, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, Kantara Chapter 1 has an excellent second weekend with over 100 crores gross at the Indian box office. On its second Sunday, the movie is looking to score around 45 crores, which takes its total domestic gross to over 500 crores. The prequel is expected to reach around 520 crores at the end of the day, making it the second Indian film of the year, after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, to breach the 500 crores mark. It has also topped 600 crores worldwide on the same day, which is the second biggest of 2025 behind Kaushal-starrer. Mumbai, October 11 - Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 continues its excellent run at the box office, grossing over 500 crores worldwide at the start of the second weekend, after the big first week in India and worldwide. The first week of Kantara 2's box office run saw it competing with the biggest Indian blockbusters, as far as ticket sales are concerned. On the online ticketing platform BookMyShow, the period folk action thriller sold the third highest tickets after the first week. The film, which has emerged as a nationwide phenomenon, sold approximately 8.20 million tickets in its 8-day opening week on the platform, edging past Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan's impressive 7.65 million and Rajinikanth's Jailer (6.60 million) tickets. In the all-time BookMyShow first-week chart (since trending feature), Kantara Chapter 1 now ranks third, behind Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 and Prabhas–starrer Kalki 2898 AD, which sold 12.53 million and 8.47 million tickets, respectively. Mumbai, October 11 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn reunited with Rakul Preet Singh for the sequel to their 2019 romantic comedy, De De Pyaar De, which also starred Tabu. The original movie turned out to be a solid box office winner, and now, all eyes are on De De Pyaar De 2, which is gearing up to hit the big screen in November this year. On Saturday (October 11), the makers took to social media to drop the first look poster and also to reconfirm the release date, which is November 14. Mumbai, October 10 - Director Siddharth Anand has teamed up with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for gangster action thriller King, after delivering a massive blockbuster Pathaan in 2023. As the fans await the film, Siddharth's latest social media post has sent them into a frenzy. On Thursday (October 9), the blockbuster director took to social media and posted a cryptic message. The simple yet intriguing - "Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock." - has sparked excitement among the fans as they assume that the official announcement of the film with the first look teaser is around the corner. If the reports are to be believed, the first look teaser of King is expected to be dropped on November 2, on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday. Meanwhile, the shooting of the film is currently going on in Poland, where dialogue-heavy and dramatic scenes are being filmed since SRK is still not cleared to perform high-intensity stunts due to his recent shoulder injury.
