Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur's 'Dacoit' Locks Christmas 2025 Release

Mumbai, May 26 - Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur's romantic action drama Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha has set a Christmas 2025 release. The film is directed by Shaneil Deo and also stars Anurag Kashyap in a prominent role. ## On Monday (May 26), the makers unveiled the teaser of the movie and also confirmed that it will hit the big screen on December 25, 2025. The teaser is intense and filled with emotional tension, which promises an action-packed ride revolving around two ex-lovers. ## Dacoit is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Mrunal Thakur Replaces Shruti Haasan To Join Adivi Sesh In 'Dacoit'

Hyderabad, December 17 - Actress Mrunal Thakur is on a roll with back-to-back films across languages and the latest she has joined is Telugu action thriller Decoit as the female opposite Adivi Sesh in the lead role. Debutante Shaneil Deo directs the movie. ## Mrunal has replaced Shruti Haasan, who was originally cast as the female lead but later backed out for unknown reasons. Decoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang under the banner of Annapurna Studios, is being shot simultaneously in the Hindi and Telugu languages. ## The movie follows an angry convict plotting revenge against his former girlfriend, who betrayed him. Sesh described it as a solid action film with a touching love story. The shoot of the movie is currently underway in Hyderabad, with plans for an extensive shooting schedule in Maharashtra.## The announcement of Mrunal Thakur's on board was made on Sesh's birthday today (December 17) with a couple of posters featuring the duo in action avatars. Adivi Sesh Announces Sequel To His Path-Breaking Spy Action Thriller Goodachari

Hyderabad, December 29 - Young and promising actor, Adivi Sesh has had a great year with two big hits to his name in the form of - Major and HIT 2. The actor has now announced his next which he called the most ambitious film of his career.## Adivi Sesh's spy action thriller Goodachari with director Sashi Kiran Tikka is considered a path-breaking film in the Telugu film industry and now, the budding actor has confirmed its sequel. Sesh has been teasing the sequel of this highly-successful film for a long time and he finally made it official. ## The sequel, titled G2, will be mounted on a big budget and scale and will be produced by People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments India Pvt Ltd. Adivi Sesh's 'Hit 2' Pre-Release Business Details And Break-Even Target

Hyderabad, November 27 - Adivi Sesh's crime thriller Hit: The Second Case, which is the sequel to 2020's "Hit" movie, is one week away from its release in theaters. The trailer of the movie was recently launched and it received an anonymously positive response from the audience. ## Adivi Sesh's box office market has widened since after his last film Major, which was a big blockbuster. The makers have high expectations from his upcoming movie, and hence, the pre-release business of the movie is locked in a record price for Sesh. ## According to Telugu media reports, the theatrical rights of the movie in Telugu states have been sold in approx. 15 crores while the rest of India and overseas rights have been valued at approx. 3 crores. The movie will need to collect more than 18 crores to achieve the break-even target and earn a hit status. ## The aforementioned numbers are big for a tier-2 actor but keeping the recent box office track record of Adivi Sesh's films + the sequel factor of a hit movie, it should be an easy target for "Hit 2" if the talks are positive, which is very much expected. Adivi Sesh's 'Major' Scored 8 Million Viewing Hours In Its First Full Week On Netflix

Mumbai, July 13 - Adivi Sesh's biographical action drama film Major scored 8 million viewing hours on Netflix in its first full week in Hindi and Telugu languages. The movie was made available on the streamer on July 3 in all three release languages, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam. ## The Hindi version of the movie was the most-watched Indian title and second-most overall non-English movie globally on Netflix in the week of July 4 - July 10. It scored 5.99 million viewing hours while the Telugu version, which landed at number 8, grabbed 2 million hours of watch time in the movie's first full week on Netflix. ## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" was released theatrically on June 3rd in the original Hindi and Telugu along with dubbed Malayalam versions. The film follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. It also stars Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Murali Sharma and Anish Kuruvilla. From its theatrical run, the movie grossed approx. 60 crores worldwide and declared as a box office super hit. ## SS Rajamouli's never-ending obsession RRR Hindi version continued to remain one of the choices on Netflix, especially among overseas audiences. The period action drama film scored 2.85 million viewing hours and remained in the top 10 most-watched non-English films worldwide for the 8th consecutive week on Netflix. ## Hindi movie, Operation Romeo, produced by Neeraj Pandey, opened at number 9 with 1.94 million viewing hours on the streamer. Mumbai, June 6 - The biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan is winning hearts as well as box office numbers. The Adivi Sesh-starrer was released on June 3 in multiple languages. It follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. ## Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, "Major" has had an excellent opening weekend at the worldwide box office, grossing Rs. 35.65 crores in just 3 days. The movie has already entered into profit zone, and with strong word of mouth by its side, it is heading towards a blockbuster. ## The Telugu version of the movie is leading its biz as it scored 17.85 crores net box office collection.
