Varun Dhawan To Team Up With Atlee For A Mass Entertainer

Mumbai, May 15 - Director Atlee is gearing up for the release of his maiden Bollywood movie "Jawan" starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in September this year. While "Jawan" marks his directorial debut in Bollywood, the filmmaker has locked his next but this time as a producer. ## Over the last year, there have been rumours that Varun Dhawan and Atlee would collaborate for a mass entertainer. Varun too has expressed his wish to work with the filmmaker for an out-and-out action entertainer and now, as per the latest reports, the duo is finally coming together.## According to reports, Varun has been in talks with Atlee for a while now and they have finally decided to work together. It further revealed that Atlee would be producing the movie with Murad Khetani. The makers are currently working on finalizing the rest of the cast and crew.## The movie is said to be the adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay's "Theri" in which new characters will be added with a plot twist. Tamil director Kalees will reportedly be directing this film which will be shot over a period of four to five months as the makers are planning to release this yet-untitled movie in the Summer of 2024.## Varun Dhawan, meanwhile, has completed the shoot of director Nitesh Tiwari's romantic action drama "Bawaal", co-starring Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, which will release in October this year. He is currently shooting for Amazon Prime Video's "Citadel" co-starring Samantha Rukh Prabhu and also has the sequel to "Bhediya" for 2025 release. Mumbai, May 15 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's yet untitled supernatural thriller film with director Vikas Bahl is getting bigger on the casting front with supremely talented actors coming on board. ## After the announcement of the movie recently, the makers roped in R Madhavan to play a key role and now, Tamil actress Jyothika has been confirmed to play a prominent role in the film. This marks Jyotika's return to Hindi cinema after more than two decades. ## The last time Jyotika was seen in a Hindi film was in the multilingual movie "Little John" (2000) which was released in Tamil, Hindi, and English. The Kerala Story Second Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 14 - After scoring the biggest single day of its box office run yesterday, The Kerala Story exploded further on its second Sunday to register its biggest day so far.## As per the early estimates, the blockbuster movie scored an estimated 23 crores net collection, including around 50 lacs in the dubbed Telugu version. There is a possibility for the Hindi version to hit 23 crores net today which remains to see. ## The total collection of The Kerala Story has reached around 136 crores net in just 10 days, and it will cross "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" by tomorrow or Tuesday to become the second biggest Bollywood movie of the year. TKS is heading for a lifetime finish of over 200 crores net. ## While TKS is performing exceptionally well, Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 has put in a decent opening weekend total by scoring around 7.50 crores net, after an estimated 3.20 crores net on Sunday. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani Gives A Major Update On Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don 3'

Mumbai, May 14 - The third installment of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Don has been in the making for a long time but it kept getting delayed. And just when fans' hope started getting shattered, producer Ritesh Sidhwani provides a major update on Don 3. ## During a recent interview, Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that Farhan Akhtar is in the phase of completing the script soon and once it gets locked, the makers will take the next step. The co-partner with Farhan Akhtar at Excel Entertainment, Ritesh further said that the team is excited and waiting to see Don on the big screen soon. ## The first "Don" movie was released in 2006, followed by the second installment in 2011 with SRK and Priyanka Chopra among others reprising their roles. Mumbai, May 13 - The blockbuster hit The Kerala Story stormed into the 100 crores net club in some style by recording the biggest single-day collection of its box office run so far. ## After scoring an excellent second Friday, the drama film went into beast mode and scored an estimated 19+ crores net collection on its second Saturday. The movie has shot at hitting 20 crores net depending on where the night shows finish. ## The second Saturday collection of the movie takes total domestic cume to around 112 crores in just 9 days, making it the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to enter the 100 crore club. Mumbai, May 11 - The blockbuster controversial film The Kerala Story completes its first full week at the box office with flying colors, scoring close to 80 crores net collection. ## After the excellent first six days, TKS remains in the same line and scored an estimated 11-12 crores net, pushing the total net collection to around 80 crores. Adipurush Trailer: Director Om Raut's Big Attempt To Bring The Timeless Tale of The Ramayana To Life

Mumbai, May 9 - After delivering a blockbuster with Ajay Devgn-fronted "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior", director Om Raut is back to conquer a bigger in the form of Adipurush. Amid huge expectations, the trailer of the film was launched on Tuesday and it exceeded expectations of all. ## The story of Adipurush is set in the time when Ram was in exile with Sita and Laxman and it mainly focuses on the Ram-Sita-Ravan conflict. Mumbai, May 8 - The Kerala Story has been assured to score a huge lifetime total after showing a remarkable hold on its first working day, Monday. The movie had an excellent first weekend with 35.25 crores net coming in. ## Despite facing bans and backlash, The Kerala Story scored is showing a jump of around 30% on Monday from Friday for an estimated 10-11+ crores net, which is phenomenal, to say the least. The drop from Sunday is around 30% which shows the power of solid word of mouth. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, TKS is going The Kashmir Films' way which created a sensation last year. TKF, however, had a lower opening but was unstoppable after the opening day, and the same is seem to be happening with TKS. The total collection of the film stands at 46 crores net after today's collection. ## TKS is performing very well everywhere, especially in the Maharashtra region. Even in Kerala state, which is the core plot of the film's story, TKS is performing well on the limited shows available. The movie, however, is not able to get more shows due to the boycott it is facing in the state. ## The lifetime collection of the film is hard to predict as this sort of film doesn't follow a pattern but it is certain to cross 100 crores and even 200 crores net collection is looking well within the reach. The Kerala Story First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 7 - The Kerala Story records a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office with an estimated 35+ crores net coming in over a 3-day weekend. ## After 19.25 crores net in the first two days, the drama film sees another big jump of around 40% for an estimated 16+ crores net on its third day or first Sunday. The jump on Sunday is in similar lines as Saturday. The 3 days total collection of The Kerala Story is approx. 35.25 crores net, which is easily the 4th biggest Bollywood opening of the year and beats most of the mainstream movies. ## Interestingly, The Kerala Story comfortably beats Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which was easily the biggest movie this weekend at the Indian box office. Yash Raj Films To Distribute Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' In International Markets

Mumbai, May 7 - The blockbuster combo of Yash Raj Films and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan are joining hands once again, a few months after creating history with spy actioner "Pathaan". The movie was produced by YRF and went on to gross over 1050 crores worldwide. ## Shah Rukh Khan is now gearing up for his next, titled "Jawan" and Yash Raj Films has decided to distribute this highly-anticipated action entertainer in the international markets. The movie is directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by SRK's home banner Red Chillies Entertainer. ## It was recently reported that Aditya Chopra's YRF had offered to release "Jawan" internationally as a thank-you gesture for "Pathaan" historic success and now, it has officially been confirmed. FYI, "Pathaan" was distributed by YRF on its own worldwide and it grossed over 390 crores at the overseas box office. ## "Jawan" is scheduled to release on September 7, 2023, after it was postponed from its originally announced June 2 release. The Kerala Story First Saturday/Second Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 6 - The Kerala Story records fantastic growth on its second day as collection jumped by around 55%. This sort of growth was always on the card after the movie managed to attract super-positive reviews and word of mouth. ## The collection of The Kerala Story is strong all over, largely thanks to its controversial subject which is attracting audiences to the cinemas. Going by the early estimates, TKS has scored around 12.50 crores net on its second day/first Saturday. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story is very much like Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files which created a sensation last year. TKF was also supported by the controversy which helped the film to post over 300 crores in collection worldwide. ## The Kerala Story, however, had more than double opening of The Kashmir Files which scored 27+ crores on opening weekend.
