Andrew Garfield Denies To Return As Spider-Man In Spider-Man: No Way Home

Los Angeles, May 5, 2021: Andrew Garfield has quashed all the rumors of him returning as Spider-Man in the upcoming Tom Holland starrer "Spider-Man: No Way Home". The rumors have been making noise that the upcoming sequel of Spider-Man will feature multiple Spider-Men including Tobey Maguire as well as Garfield, who played the hero in two Amazing Spider-Man films from 2012-14.## And now, after months of sitting back and observing, Garfield put all the talks to rest. "I can't speak for anything else, but for myself. They might be doing something, but I ain't got a call", Garfield told MTV's Josh Horowitz on Tuesday's episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via THR).## "I see how often Spider-Man is trending and it's like people freaking out", said Garfield. "And I'm just like, 'guys, guys, guys' — I wish I could just be able to speak to everyone and say, 'I recommend that you chill", he added. ## Despite Garfield's denials, there are a lot of indications that No Way Home will feature multiple Spider-Men. After all, the film is confirmed to feature Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, the villain he played in Maguire's Spider-Man 2. Jamie Foxx is also confirmed as Electro, a villain from Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 2.## Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts and co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios. Quentin Tarantino's 'New Beverly Cinema' In Los Angeles Set To Reopen In June

Los Angeles, May 3, 2021: As the covid-19 pandemic is slowing down in North America, the theaters in the USA have started to reopen after more than a year. Among them, Los Angeles' "New Beverly Cinema", which is owned and operated by filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, is also set to see the light again.## In a post shared on its social media channels and website Saturday, the historic revival theater (located on 7165 Beverly Blvd.) announced plans to reopen on June 1. 'Thor: Love and Thunder' Might Be The Best Marvel Film Ever, Says Director Taika Waititi

'Godzilla vs. Kong' Director Adam Wingard To Return For New Legendary MonsterVerse Movie

Director Adam Wingard, who has helmed "Godzilla vs. Kong", is in talks to return to direct the new monster film. ## "Godzilla vs. Kong", which debuted in theaters on March 31 in the USA, has grossed over $400 million at the box office, marking the highest-grossing Hollywood release of the pandemic era. The movie was released simultaneously on the streaming platform, HBO Max as part of Warner Bros' multi-platform release strategy for the studio's 2021 slate. ## "Godzilla vs. Kong" is the fourth movie in the franchise since Legendary kicked off their MonsterVerse plans, after partnering with Japan's Toho Studios for 2014's "Godzilla". The movie grossed $23.3 million and topped its debut weekend in North America. Los Angeles, April 27, 2021: The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, which was held in the early morning (as per IST) on Monday (April 26), couldn't grab the attention of the audience, as the TV Ratings of the ceremony was all-time low as per early numbers. ## This year's Oscars joined the recent awards shows such as Grammys, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards, which witnessed a sharp decline in tv viewing from the previous year. As per early numbers, the 93rd Oscars drew 9.85 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults of 18-49 on Sunday. However, the final numbers may increase after they come out on Tuesday. ## Last year, the numbers were high with 23.64 million viewers and 5.3 ratings in the key ad demographic. The decline of 58 percent for Oscars 2021 is the second-highest after Golden Globes (62 percent) in the recently organized award shows. Mortal Combat Opens Well At The Domestic Box Office Despite Tough Competition With Demon Slayer

The US box office is well and truly back in the business after a horrible one year. After Godzilla vs. Kong gave a major push to the domestic theatrical business, the latest release, Mortal Kombat, and Demon Slayer have further strengthened the grip. Both Mortal Combat and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, have blown away all the expectations regarding their box office run. On Friday (April 23), Mortal Combat grossed around $9 million while Demon Slayer, with a slight edge, earned approx $9.5 million. The box office numbers for both the movies are amazing considering the fact that both are R-rated and somewhat limiting their potential audience. Plus, only 58% of US theaters are operational, and that too with just around 30% occupancy while Canada's 5.8K theaters are open with only 20% occupancy. As per the local surveys, Mortal Combat was forecast to earn less than $15 million in the opening weekend, which now seems far too low than the actual numbers once they will come out after the weekend. The movie is definitely heading for around $22-24 million in the opening weekend. The 2021 releases of the Warner Bros. are debuting simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max. It's part of the studio’s gambit to shake up the way it's distributing its films in the COVID era. However, it was a move that was widely criticized as it will dent chances for theatrical business to recover quickly. Los Angeles, April 24, 2021: Marvel's one of the highly successful, Captain America series is set to get longer. When Captain America got a retired role in Avengers: Endgame, many speculated that this could be the last outing for 'Cap' in Marvel movies, however, things have changed with Disney+ and Marvel's "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" series. ## Malcolm Spellman, the head writer, and creator of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" is developing a fourth installment of the Captain America film franchise for Marvel Studios. Spellman will co-write the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on Falcon and the Winter Soldier.## No castings for the project are officially known yet. Up until this point, Chris Evans has played Captain America via the Steve Rogers character, appearing in a trio of solo movies along with Avengers outings, and assorted other Marvel films. ## The story of "Captain America 4" is likely to continue with Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, and the current wielder of the shield. Disney Bags The Streaming Rights To Sony Pictures Films After Netflix Window Expires

After the historic deal with Netflix earlier this month, Sony Pictures has now inked another landmark deal with Disney, which will allow the platform to stream Sony's films on its streaming and TV platforms. ## The new deal, which will cover Sony's entire theatrical slate from 2022-26, will bring the films to Disney-owned streaming services Disney+ and Hulu, as well as to Disney's linear TV networks, including ABC, Disney Channels, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic.## However, as per Sony's earlier deal, Netflix will have the right to stream Sony pictures first after they completed their theatrical run. Mumbai, February 11 - Amazon Prime Video has spent millions of dollars for the upcoming epic fantasy adventure The Lord of the Rings series, titled "The Rings of Power". The company bought the television rights for series for a whopping US$250 million in November 2017, making a five-season production commitment worth at least US$1 billion. ## Now, it is reported that the first season of "The Rings of Power" TV show will cost the retail giant an unimaginable over $462 million to produce, making it one of the costliest series ever made. ## In April last year, New Zealand's minister for economic development and tourism revealed that the fantasy drama will be one of the most costly television series ever made, with its season one price tag coming in at around $465 million.## With this kind of price, it is likly the highest amount ever spent for a single season of any TV series. For comparison, HBO's "Game of Thrones" cost around $100 million per season. Season one episodes cost around $6 million each and eventually rose to around $15 million by season eight.## Among the other top productions, Disney spent around "100 million" on the first season of The Mandalorian. Marvel's "Wanda Vision" to cost Disney around US$25 million per episode and nine episodes comprise max at US$225 million.
