While SmackDown airs live on Fox Sports in Mexico and across Central and South America since 2014. ## WWE Friday Night SmackDown, March 8, 2024 Play-By-Play Results ## The episode kicks off with a flashback to last week's Smackdown, where The Rock challenged Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes for the first night of Wrestlemania.## Cut to earlier today. A pickup truck pulls up to the building and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson steps out, sporting a cowboy hat. He lingers by the truck for a moment before heading inside with security.## We then see Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman flanked by their own security detail. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins arrive together, greeted by Nick Aldis and their personal security.## The reigning United States Champion, Logan Paul, struts to the ring.## Logan boasts that Dallas is his city of firsts. Two years ago, he made his Wrestlemania debut here. Tonight, the Dallas crowd will witness history in the making. He proclaims himself a conqueror, someone who doesn't mess around with hypotheticals. He emphasizes that he didn't join WWE to participate, he joined to dominate.## He touts his achievements: a stellar rookie year, the US Championship title - everything he touches turns to gold, he claims. No one generates buzz quite like him. Since his arrival, records have been shattered. Logan declares himself the secret ingredient, the reason business is booming. He even suggests WWE is in its "prime" (a clever play on his beverage brand).## Logan announces a surprise for Dallas and requests a drumroll. The camera pans to the center of the ring, revealing a giant Prime logo. He reveals a groundbreaking partnership between his company and WWE, making Prime the first-ever center ring sponsor. The deal kicks off at Wrestlemania and extends to all subsequent pay-per-view events.## With a flourish, Logan introduces his "partner in crime" from England - KSI. He suggests the momentous occasion deserves a photo op.## Suddenly, Randy Orton's music throws a wrench in their plans. Orton doesn't enter through the usual aisle, but emerges from under the ring in a surprise attack. He attempts an RKO on Logan, who narrowly dodges it. However, Logan, distracted by the commotion, gets caught off guard by a swift RKO from Orton.## Orton picks up a bottle of Prime, sniffs it, takes a swig, and declares it delicious. He then proceeds to drench KSI with the drink before we cut to commercial. ## Kevin Owens and Randy Orton vs Grayson Waller and Austin Theory ## The match kicks off with Owens and Theory grappling for control, trading holds like waist locks and arm drags. Owens overpowers Theory with a side headlock and a shoulder tackle. He maintains pressure with an arm bar, but Theory breaks free with a kick and throws punches. Owens retaliates with a back elbow and a back senton off the second rope.## Seeing an opening, Owens tags in Randy Orton, who eagerly enters the ring. Orton immediately corners Waller and throws a series of punches, even poking him in the eyes for an advantage. He climbs the turnbuckle and rains down more punches on Waller. Theory tries to interfere, but Orton throws him off the apron with a powerful punch. Waller retaliates with a forearm to the back of Orton's head, but Orton quickly recovers with a kick to both Waller and Theory. He overpowers Waller with two quick clotheslines and dodges a retaliatory one. Orton follows up with a powerful slam, then positions Waller against the ropes for a potential signature move. Theory tries to distract Orton, but Waller slams Orton back-first into the top rope. As Owens and Orton celebrate their victory, Logan Paul blindsides them with a sneak attack. Logan clutches brass knuckles, waiting for Orton to turn around. But Orton reacts quickly, throwing a kick that sends Logan scrambling. In the struggle, Orton manages to wrest the brass knuckles away from Logan. However, his attempt to retaliate is narrowly averted as he almost accidentally hits Owens with the weapon.## We then see Raw's Guest Star Security stationed outside Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins' locker room, presumably to ensure their safety. ## Kayla Braxton interviews Bayley, seeking answers about Dakota Kai's betrayal last week.## Bayley expresses her vulnerability, feeling like she's hanging by a thread. She questions the authenticity of her relationships with Damage CTRL. Were they genuine, or simply using her for their own gain? Then came the ultimate blow - Dakota's manipulation and deceit. Bayley admits she was fooled.## Kayla probes further, asking if Bayley brought this on herself. Bayley acknowledges making enemies on her path to the top. Blinded by loyalty to Dakota and Iyo, she didn't hesitate to burn bridges. Now, those actions are coming back to haunt her, leaving her isolated.## Shifting focus to Wrestlemania preparation, Bayley declares that underestimating her was a grave error. She emphasizes her adaptability and vows to do whatever it takes to crush them.## We cut to Naomi watching the interview on a monitor. Bianca enters the room, questioning Naomi's empathy for Bayley. Naomi expresses discomfort with the situation, but Bianca cuts her off, stating that Naomi wasn't there to witness the events that unfolded. ## Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross ## Lashley is trapped in a hold with Kross's knee digging into his back and forearms wrapped tight. Lashley fights back with a vicious Irish whip, flinging Kross to the corner with a clothesline. He attempts a shoulder thrust in the corner but Kross dodges and blasts him with a forearm. Lashley retaliates with another Irish whip, but this time Kross cuts him off with a well-timed boot to the face. ## Kross rains down punches before launching into a fisherman's suplex. Lashley counters with a powerful Northern Lights suplex, then sends Kross flying over the top rope with a clothesline. Lashley wastes no time, slamming Kross into the ringside barrier. He attempts to hoist Kross onto his shoulders for a devastating maneuver, but Scarlett strategically positions herself, blocking the path to the ring post. Kross capitalizes on the distraction, lunges to his feet, and unleashes punches before driving Lashley face-first into the ring post.## We are back and Kross with a cross arm breaker. Kross with a kick to the ribs followed by a gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Kross with a rear chin lock. Kross sends Lashley to the floor and he follows. Lashley with a clothesline and he gets Kross on his shoulders and runs Kross into the ring post. Lashley sends Kross back into the ring and he sets for a spear but Kross moves. ## Lashley goes for a full nelson but Kross fights it off and sends Lashley into the turnbuckles. Kross with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Kross gets Lashley up again but Lashley escapes. Kross wit a back elbow. Lashley avoids a clothesline and hits a choke slam. Ford dives for a pescado, but Akam and Rezar snag him mid-air. Dawkins splashes onto the pile. Lashley flattens someone with a flatliner and attempts the full nelson, but Scarlett disrupts him. B Fab enters and slaps Scarlett.## Lashley locks in the full nelson, but Akam and Rezar intervene. Ford gets tossed over the top rope. Akam and Rezar pound on Lashley, joined by Kross. Kross finishes Lashley with a Final Prayer.## We cut to a recap of the tensions between Legado and the LWO, highlighting Rey Mysterio's return.## Dragon Lee appears with the LWO on Smackdown Low Down. Elektra Lopez intercepts him, complimenting his cuteness and comparing him to a mini Rey Mysterio. She asserts he won't be the next Rey Mysterio. Santos, Angel, and Humberto echo her sentiment, with Santos declaring the LWO a relic of the past and Legado del Fantasma the future. He dismisses Lee as insignificant and shoves him to the ground.## A teeming crowd gathers outside the DOOR to see Cody and Seth. ## Singles Match: Tiffany Stratton vs Michin ## Michin dodges a clothesline and scores a near fall with a backslide. Tiffany blocks a kick and slams Michin to the mat by the hair. Tiffany whips Michin into the turnbuckles, but Michin cuts her off with a chop. Tiffany retaliates with a drop toe hold, driving Michin into the corner. She follows up with a back handspring elbow and a double stomp for a near fall. ## Tiffany resorts to choking Michin in the ropes. Michin fights back with punches, but Tiffany overpowers her with a belly-to-back suplex for another near fall. Tiffany resumes the attack with kicks and chokeholds. She attempts a suplex, but Michin counters and executes a suplex of her own. Michin sets up for a Styles Clash, but Tiffany reverses it into an Alabama Slam. Styles reveals his amusement turned to anger when Knight stole momentum meant for him. He acknowledges the ruthlessness of the industry, labeling Knight an overachieving loudmouth with subpar talent in need of a reality check. The Bloodline's security detail remains stationed outside his door.## We cut to Tyler Bate playing WWE 2K24, discussing his ambition to win the tag team titles. He reveals his plan to approach his partner, Nick, to secure a tag title match. ## Angel Garza (with Elektra Lopez, Humberto Carrillo, and Santos Escobar) vs Dragon Lee ## Lee lands a punch on Angel followed by a corner dropkick. He sweeps Garza's legs and connects with a slingshot dropkick. Lee stomps on Garza in the corner and delivers a hesitation dropkick for a near fall. He chops Garza, who tweaks his knee during a leapfrog attempt. Garza recovers quickly and retaliates with a dropkick. Lee pummels Angel with punches and flying forearms. He connects with a thrust kick, superkick, and enzuigiri. Lee leaps to the apron and kicks Angel. He attempts to climb the ropes, but Garza cuts him off with a back elbow. Angel goes for a hurricanrana, but Lee counters by crotching Garza and delivering a double stomp. Angel scrambles to the floor. Lee launches himself over the top rope with a flip dive onto Angel and Humberto. Lee throws Angel back in the ring, who runs into a superkick.
