Mumbai, Jan 5 (IANS) Actor Rohit Purohit talks about getting fit for his character Dr Vikrant Saxena in the show 'Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii'. ## "Dr Vikrant's personality demands more from me than just learning medical terms and memorising the lines of my script. I needed to be in good shape because Dr Vikrant has been described as this good looking, fit man who charms people first and foremost with his appearance," said Rohit. ## 'Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii' is a story of an independent woman played by Additi Gupta. Rohit is cast opposite her. As his on screen personality is of a handsome blue-eyed Dr Vikrant Saxena, Rohit has to pay a lot of attention to his fitness regime to get into the skin of his character. ## He further continued and described his average day's fitness routine. "My morning starts with a banana protein shake and then I go for my morning run. After that, I have a healthy breakfast like a fruit salad or a bowl of oats and then go for the shoot. Even in between shoots, I go to my vanity van and try to do some lightweight training like pushups and cardio. ## "Then for lunch again I have dal and rice or roti and vegetables. He first starred in the Boyle's 'Yesterday'. He was later seen in 'The Astronaut', 'Tenet' and his most recent release is 'Don't Look Up'. ## Talking to IANS in a chat, Patel spoke about collaborating with names such extraordinary filmmakers. He said: "I am very proud of the fact that I have managed to work with several sorts of filmmakers that I admire and liked to work with. It's been a wonderful few years." ## "Hopefully I continue working with great filmmakers and I would love to work with these filmmakers again," he added. ## Netflix's satirical science fiction black comedy 'Don't Look Up' tells the story of two low-level astronomers, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy earth. ## Patel revealed the reason why the element of comedy was so important for the film. ## "I think when it comes to a message for a movie like this, a comedy is the most powerful way to really put the case across because it can really it wrong foots people. People think they are watching a comedy specially with a name like Adam'sa." ## He added: "But there are moments of really powerful and dramatic sequences and I think they are all the more powerfulaSo, I think it relaxes the audiences and then can really make an impact. Mumbai, Jan 5 (IANS) Television actor Shagun Pandey recalls singing folk songs with a local musician in Bikaner, Rajasthan, while shooting for a honeymoon sequence in 'Meet'. ## He reminisces: "The hotel I was staying in had a beautiful breakfast area and there was this old, local man who used to sit there and play some soulful music. I was so impressed by his craft that I wanted to learn from him. Even though we had early morning shoots, I made sure that I take out time, get ready half an hour early, and go sing with him." ## 'Tujhse Hai Raabta' actor Shagun is seen playing the character of Meet Ahlawat in the show. His character is married to Meet Hooda (played by Ashi Singh) and to make their love story more interesting, makers have included a honeymoon sequence. The actor shares further about his experience of singing with a local artiste. ## "We used to sing different regional folk songs together and he even helped me correct my dialect. He taught me some new songs too and I must say that I absolutely loved jamming with him, it was a great experience. The guests in our hotel also enjoyed our morning music sessions." ## "It has become my morning routine and while I am missing it now, I make sure to practice and sing during my free time at home or on set," he adds.
