Aditya Roy Kapur To Replace Sidharth Malhotra In The Thadam Hindi Remake?

Mumbai, April 23, 2021: Last year, on March 4, Kabir Singh producer Murad Khetani announced his next project in association with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. The Hindi remake of the Tamil movie, Thadam was announced with a release date of 20th November 2020. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the movie couldn't go on floors as scheduled in May.## The film that was supposed to be headlined by Sidharth Malhotra and Mrunal Thakur finally went on floors in November last year with major changes. However, earlier this year, Sidharth did object to the new screenplay which resulted in, the actor opted out of the movie that put a brake on the further proceedings. ## Now, the remake of Thadam is back on track again as makers have reportedly locked Aditya Roy Kapur to play the lead. "Aditya Roy Kapur has been locked in to play the hero now. It's an action-packed film which will have double roles. This will also be Aditya's first double role ever. When Sid opted out, they were on the lookout for a good-looking hero who's fantastic with action. Apart from Adi, Mrunal remains part of the cast", said a source. ## Aditya Roy Kapur is currently busy filming for his next, Om - The Battle Within, with producer Ahmed Khan. Once he wrapped up Om, he will begin the Thadam remake sometime this year. He will be reprising the role of Arun Vijay from the original Thadam. ## Talking about the original Thadam, it is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Inder Kumar. The movie starred Arun Vijay in a double role along with Tanya Hope and Vidya Pradeep. It was released on 1 March 2019 and was a box office success. A Biopic On Col Narinder 'Bull' Kumar's Life Story Announced

Producers Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande have announced a biopic on late Colonel Narinder 'Bull' Kumar, who carried out reconnaissance trips to Siachen before Operation Meghdoot of the Indian Army in 1984. Titled "Bull", the film will depict the life of the late hero who helped the Indian Army claim critical forward posts of the Siachen Glacier as part of the operation. ## Rights for a biopic have been acquired by producers Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande, although no official announcement has yet been made about the casting of the film, which is written by Balwinder Singh Janjua.## Chibb, an ex-army officer, is incidentally from the same regiment as Colonel Narinder Kumar and has spent hours with the late army man.## "We are elated as a team to be the ones to bring this extremely amazing story of heroism and true leadership to the screens soon. We are grateful to the late Colonel Narinder 'Bull' Kumar's family to trust us and give us the responsibility to retell his deeply inspiring story and give us the opportunity to do our part in forever commemorating his life. We currently have interest from several studios and look forward to kickstarting this project and let the world know the heroic story of an unfathomably brave, adventurous, and true patriot", Chibb said.## Ramon Chibb, incidentally, has also written the story and screenplay of the Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer action film "Fighter", which was recently announced. Veteran artist Satish Gujral passes away at 94

New Delhi, March 27 (IANS) Renowned artist and architect Satish Gujral passed away late Thursday at the age of 94.## A recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of India, in 1999, the highly celebrated painter was the younger brother India's former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral.## His death was mourned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among other dignitaries of note.## Modi tweeted: "Satish Gujral Ji was versatile and multifaceted. He was admired for his creativity as well as the determination with which he overcame adversity. His intellectual thirst took him far and wide yet he remained attached with his roots. Saddened by his demise. Om Shanti."## Gujral was born on December 25, 1925, in pre-Partition India, and studied art in Lahore and Mumbai.## Gujral, a well-collected artist, was one of the few who have consistently dominated the art scene in India for the entire post-independent era.## He won an equal, if not more, acclaim as an architect. He has designed the building of the Belgium Embassy in New Delhi.## Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu tweeted: "Saddened to learn about the demise of the eminent painter, artist, sculptor, muralist and one of the pioneers of Contemporary Indian Art, Shri Satish Gujral.
