Mumbai, July 17 - Superstar Aamir Khan has addressed one of the most persistent beliefs surrounding 3 Idiots, clarifying that his iconic character Rancho, also known as Phunsukh Wangdu, was not inspired by education reformer and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk. The actor made the statement while expressing concern over Wangchuk's ongoing hunger strike and health. The association between 3 Idiots and Sonam Wangchuk has existed since the film's release.
