Anushka Sharma Back Out From Cricket Legend Jhulan Goswami's Biopic!
Mumbai, December 15 - Actress Anushka Sharma, who was last seen in Anand L Rai's "Zero" opposite Shah Rukh Khan, was supposed to make her comeback with Indian cricket legend Jhulan Goswami's biopic. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic and other reasons, the movie went through major changes, and now, the latest reports suggest that Anushka will no longer act in the film. ## The biopic was supposed to go on floors at the end of 2021, which is not happening as Anushka has backed out from the project, and she will now be a part of the film only as a producer in association with Sony Pictures India. It is reported that Tripti Dimri, who led Anushka's production venture Bulbbul, has replaced her to play Jhulan Goswami in the feature film. ## The biopic will be directed by Prosit Roy, who earlier directed Anushka's 3rd production film, Pari. The biopic is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2022 and director Prosit has already started prepping for the biographical sports drama. ## While there is no official confirmation yet from the makers regarding the development but it said that the character demanded extreme physical and mental dedication for months and this was the reason behind Anushka's ouster from the project as she doesn't want to do such a heavy lifting film at this point of his career. ## The movie, which is reportedly titled, Chakdah Express, is an inspiring tale of the world's highest wicket-taker in women's ODIs and one of the greatest woman cricket players ever. The movie highlights various on and off-the-field chapters of her life. Interestingly, the biopic of the leading run-getter in women's ODIs, Mithali Raj, led by Taapsee Pannu, is already in development and will release on 4 Feb. 2022 in theaters.## Stay tuned...
