Box Office: Aavesham and Varshangalkku Shesham Score Huge Opening Day Worldwide

Kochi, April 12 - 2024 is turning into a breakout year for Malayalam cinema which is again on the verge of scoring two more blockbusters at the box office in the form of Aavesham and Varshangalkku Shesham after their big opening day globally. ## Aavesham, an action drama starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, was released on Eid day and took full advantage of the national holiday by grossing approximately 10.50 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the biggest start for the talented actor. ## In India, the movie minted approximately 4.20 crores gross while the overseas collection is 6.30 crores, led by the Gulf region which is truly phenomenal. The movie is still in the early days but is showing all the signs of being a huge worldwide success, thanks to the unanimous positive talk. ## Another Malayalam film which opened hugely is the romantic comedy-drama Varshangalkku Shesham. Starring Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Kalyani Priyadarshan among others, the movie's opening day worldwide collection is not far behind that of Aavesham. ## The Vineeth Sreenivasan's directorial movie grossed approximately 10.10 crores, including 3.55 crores in India and 6.50 crores overseas. Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios Acquired Remake Rights Of Malayalam Blockbuster 'Hridayam'

Mumbai, March 26 - This year's Malayalam coming-of-age romantic drama, "Hridayam", is readying for the remake in other languages. Starring Pranav Mohanlal, Dharshana Rajendran, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, the movie was both a critical and commercial success and became the first Malayalam blockbuster of the year. ## On Friday (March 25), the Padma Shri-winning filmmaker, Karan Johar took to Twitter and announced that his production banner Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have acquired the remake rights of the film in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ## "I am so delighted and honoured to share this news with you. Venkat Prabhu Reveals When Will 'Maanaadu' Hindi Remake Go On Floors

Mumbai, January 30 - The South Indian films continue to make waves in Indian cinema. In the last couple of years, regional movies have found their audience beyond boundaries and continue to attract them. One such film is the recently released Tamil blockbuster "Maanaadu", starring Simbu with S.J Suryah and Kalyani Priyadarshan. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "Maanaadu" is a science fiction action thriller film that was highly appreciated by the audience and critics alike, with major praises coming in for making the complex concept of time-loop in a simplistic manner. The concept of the film not only attracted the Tamil audiences but also found the attention of Hindi and Telugu filmmakers. ## The Telugu production house, Suresh Productions headed by Suresh Babu recently acquired the remake rights of the film in all languages. Though the studio didn't reveal the amount, some entertainment portals revealed that the remake rights of "Maanaadu" were sold for a whopping sum of Rs. 12 crores.## The remake of "Maanaadu" is currently being planned only in Telugu and Hindi languages. While there is not an official word on when will Telugu remake go on floors, director Venkat Prabhu, who will also be helming the remake version, said in a recent interview with The Federal that "the Hindi remake of Maanaadu will go on the floors by the end of this year, so don't want to miss the opportunity".## The casting for the Hindi version is yet to be finalized, however, according to Pinkvilla, the makers are trying to rope in a young actor to play the titular role played by Simbu in the original. A Sequel To Blockbuster 'Maanaadu' Is In The Works With Silambarasan TR And SJ Suryah!

Chennai, December 2 - Tamil movie "Maanaadu", which was released a week ago on November 25, is going bonkers at the box office as it turned out to be the best performer for actor Silambarasan TR. ## Now, director Venkat Prabhu has revealed that he has plans for the sequel of Maanaadu in a recent interview. SIIMA Awards 2021: Allu Arjun And Pooja Hegde's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Win Big With 10 Awards

Hyderabad, September 20, 2021: On the second and final day of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2021, some of the best South Indian movies and artists of 2020 were honored in a star-studded ceremony in Hyderabad. ## Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer action drama film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, emerged a big winner at the award nights and bagged almost all the top awards in Telugu. One of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of all time, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, won 10 awards including Best Actor male and female, Best Director, Best Film, among others. ## Soorarai Pottru, which has been hailed as one of the best Indian films ever, was announced as the Best Tamil movie of 2020 while Suriya won the Best Actor for his role in the movie at SIIMA 2021.
