Karnataka is the largest state in South India and the sixth largest state by area and the ninth largest state by population in Indian country. Mysore was renamed Karnataka on 1 November 1973.## The Chief Minister of Karnataka is the chief executive of the Indian state of Karnataka which is appointed by a state’s governor. The chief minister is the leader of the state Legislative assembly. They would be the chief adviser to the nominal head of their respected state. All new principal announcements of policy are made by him on the floor of the house. The Chief Minister supervises and co­ordinates the policies of the several Ministers involved in the formulation and implementation of a policy and department. For the removal of ministers, the governor is dependent on the chief minister because the governor can’t remove/dismiss ministers at his will. The Chief Minister has a free hand in preparing the list of his colleagues and also he may ask anyone of his colleagues to resign.## Karnataka has a bicameral legislature house and chamber, the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has 224 seats, headed by a speaker. The Karnataka state sends 27 members in Lok Sabha and 12 members in Rajya Sabha. 'Kantara' Creates A Historic Record At The Karnataka Box Office

Bengaluru, October 24 - Rishab Shetty's blockbuster Kantara has created a huge record in Karnataka state as it has become the most-watched film ever in the state in theaters. This is indeed a huge record considering it wasn't expected to be this strong. ## The Rishab Shetty-starrer film has grossed approx. 130 crores in Karnataka state with approx. 7.7 million footfalls. It beat the footfalls of both the "KGF" films which scored 7.5 million and 7.2 million footfalls respectively. "KGF 2", however, is currently the highest-grossing film in the state. ## Interestingly, the top four films, also including "Raajakumara", in Karnataka are produced by Hombale Films, a studio that has become the synonym for blockbuster films. Bengaluru, June 20 - Rakshit Shetty's adventure comedy-drama film "777 Charlie" is proving to be a huge blockbuster in the home state, Karnataka. The movie was anticipated to do well and was one of the most-awaited Kannada movies of the year. ## Directed by Kiranraj K, "777 Charlie" has crossed a milestone of 50 crores gross in Karnataka, becoming only the 4th film of 2022 to do so. The film has managed to draw huge attention of moviegoers because of its heartwarming story which follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a stray Labrador dog. ## "777 Charlie" has also become only the second movie of Shetty to reach 50 crores gross in Karnataka. It scored an excellent 7.10 crores gross on its second Sunday, pushing its total gross collection to 54.40 crores in the state. At the worldwide box office, the movie has scored a whopping 71 crores so far and is all set to become the biggest-grosser of Shetty's career, both domestically and overseas. ## Produced by G. S.
