Box Office: 'Inside Out 2' Beats 'The Super Mario Bros Movie' To Become Second Highest-Grossing Animated Film Worldwide
Mumbai, July 17 - Disney's Pixar blockbuster Inside Out 2 has become the second highest-grossing animated movie of all time at the worldwide box office after topping Universal Pictures' 2023 mega-blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie on its 5th Tuesday. ## The coming-of-age, Inside Out 2 has crossed $1.36 billion (11365+ crores) to beat The Super Mario Bros. Movie's $1.36 billion and is now behind only Frozen 2 ($1.45 billion) which is projected to be outgrossed by next week for IO2 to become the highest-grossing animated title ever.## Directed by Kelsey Mann, IO2 has so far grossed $575+ million in North America and $785+ million overseas over 47 markets. The movie is projected to finish its worldwide box office run at over $1.5 billion gross, making it the first animated movie ever to do so. It is currently the 16th highest-grossing movie ever.## The sequel to 2015's Inside Out ($858 million worldwide gross), IO2 tells the story of Riley's (played by Kensington Tallman) emotions as they find themselves joined by new emotions that want to take over Riley's head.## Stay tuned...
