Jr. NTR's 'Devara: Part 1' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, September 26 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR returns to the big screens with director Koratala Siva's action drama Devara: Part 1 which is set to unleash at the box office tomorrow, September 27. It is the actor's first film since SS Rajamouli's directorial blockbuster RRR in March 2022. ## Devara has been creating waves with its advance booking response for the last few days. The movie's pre-sales have crossed 40 crores gross for the opening day in India (including block seats) while worldwide sales have surpassed the 75 crores mark which is one of the biggest for an Indian movie.## The historic pre-sales response to Devara has confirmed 100+ crores worldwide start at the box office and this will be Jr. NTR's back-to-back 100 crores opener and first solo movie to take this sort of opening at the box office. While the pre-sales aren't encouraging in the Hindi belt, the same is not the case in South Indian regions where tickets are getting sold out within minutes. The movie is having the best response in Telugu states where bookings are simply historic, followed by Karnataka and a decent response in Tamil Nadu. ## Given the pre-sales trend and how the market has behaved in the past, Devara is expected to score the opening in the range of 70 crore gross in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). This will be one of the biggest openings ever in this part of the country if the projection holds. Apart from AP/TG, Karnataka is another strong market for Telugu stars and pre-sales there are excellent. The movie is expected to score 10+ crores gross collection in the state. In Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Devara is heading towards the opening in the range of 3 crore gross with a large contribution from TN.## The North India is the market to watch out for Devara as far as the box office is concerned. Post RRR, there have been high expectations from Jr. NTR to deliver in Hindi which has become a strong market for Telugu movies. The pre-sales of the movie in Hindi hasn't been that strong but are still better than some of recent Bollywood movies featuring top stars. ## In Hindi, the movie is expected to take an opening of 5-6 crore gross which can be called a decent start. If it manages to get positive word of mouth, Devara has a real shot at scoring a healthy collection. Including all versions, the domestic opening of Devara is expected to be around 85-90 crores. ## The overseas pre-sales are also sensational and Devara is headed to take the opening of around $5 million (40 crores gross), for a worldwide opening of around 125 crores gross. If the projection holds, it will be the second biggest opening of 2024 after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. ## Jr. NTR's popularity is at an all-time high post the mega success of RRR and the numbers coming in from the domestic and international markets for Devara are a true statement of his sheer stardom which is growing day by day not just in India but internationally as well. ## Stay tuned...

Jr. NTR's 'Devara: Part 1' To Have An Extended Theatrical Window

Hyderabad, September 25 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 is set to unleash at the box office this Friday (September 27) and the pre-sales for the same are over the roof in the domestic and international markets. ## Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara will have a 50-day theatrical window, unlike 4 weeks which has become a norm for most South Indian films. Another good news is that the film will have a proper release in Hindi due to the extended window. ## It is known to all that films with just 4 weeks' theatrical window don't get multiple releases in Hindi but it is said that Devara makers have agreed to extend the window which allows it to have multiple screenings along with single screens in the dubbed version.## Meanwhile, the full-fledged advance booking of Devara is expected to open today in Hindi. In Telugu, the pre-sales are easily one of the best at around 30 crore gross with more than a day left for the release. Worldwide sales have crossed 60 crore gross for the opening day. ## Produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, Devara stars Jr. NTR in dual roles, alongside Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in their first Telugu film while Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan and Murali Sharma appear in supporting parts. ## Stay tuned...

Jr. NTR's 'Devara: Part 1' Advance Booking Starts On An Excellent Note In India

Hyderabad, September 24 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR will return to the big screen after more than 2 years since blockbuster RRR (2022) with the action drama Devara: Part 1 which is scheduled to be released on September 27. In other news, Devara is NTR's first solo release in 6 years since Aravindha Sametha (2018). ## Post RRR, Jr. NTR's popularity has skyrocketed not just in India but internationally also and now, the same is being reflected in the pre-sales of Devara which is on the rampage mode. The film's pre-sales are nearing 50 crore gross worldwide for the opening day (including $2+ million in the USA) with still a couple of days left for the release.## The booking of Koratala Siva's directorial opened yesterday in India and as soon as the ticket went on sale, the available shows started getting filled in no time. Currently, the total opening day pre-sales of the movie at the domestic market have crossed 20 crore gross (including block seats) with still more than 2 days left for the shows to begin. ## Considering the pre-sales trend in India and overseas, Devara is a sure shot to emerge Jr. NTR's biggest solo opener at the worldwide box office. Aravindha Sametha at present is the biggest solo opening-day grosser for the actor with approximately 58 crore worldwide gross collection. ## It needs to be seen how far Devara can go at the box office, but the trade is projecting around $5 million (42 crores gross) overseas start and easily over 50 crore gross in India and with such projection, the movie is in a very good position to open with 100 crores worldwide gross. If this happens, Jr. NTR will be only the second Telugu actor to deliver a solo 100 crores opening after Prabhas. ## Stay tuned...
